Hmm... no. The green would mask it more IMO, blending in with the background.

I'm using a clear, white theme so it doesn't make a difference.

And Yeah, i'm a PC vet. I remember those days man. Heh I loourved the red username color as a noob. Heh. Still do lol. Yeah, Teh CS Purple Roxx! It's 3rd best In my opinion. Right under SA's Red and Mod's Cool Blue

I've got the Professional theme right now, which I might add, is quite nice. xD And the colour comes out fine too.

I like this blue colour that the mods have... it's a nice blue.
