There are no bells in university. :B I don't mind it because half the time, my profs let us out early anyway.

True, my Bio and Programming lecturer always lets us out early aswell.

Oh jeez, my computer science teacher was so bad in that respect. He'd lecture for 20 minutes and send us away. x_X; The class was supposed to be an hour and a half. So naturally, I was failing and had to drop it. WHICH IS BAD 'CAUSE IT'S MY MAJOR. 8(

But I don't mind the early let-outs in the other classes. So long as I'm taught everything, it's great to get out of the stuffy classrooms a few minutes early. XD

20 min? congrats you've beaten my 30 min of Bio lectures every week xD, don't worry about failing I think I'm failing Physics and Programming here...

Haha, oh yeah. Physics. x_X I haven't been to that class in ages; I really should go now that I'm learning things beyond high school physics. I don't wanna fail. DX

I think the guy lectured for 18 minutes once. 20 was just the average. 9_9; And his entire lecture consisted of reading off the course notes we all bought. I can do that on my own, thanks... teach me things that'll help with the assignment instead. ;_;

You should Physics is like so important nowadays, but at first I hate the idea of how Physics takes something very simple (i.e. a cup sitting on a table), and making it very complex (i.e. the Archimedes force equation) by attaching numbers to individual concepts and then deriving more numbers from those. All in all, a very arbitrary system.

Hahahaha, can't you protest to the Uni (the word is college for you americans) though?

I'm Canadian, so it's a university for me. ;D I suppose I could, but it wouldn't do me much good. The course descriptions were very vague, so I thought I could handle the course, but I'm not sure I could even if I had a decent prof. @_@; It made more sense in the end to just drop it.

I'm a math/computer science major, so I'm taking physics for fun as an elective. *such a nerd* But I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would, so it's hard to drag up the enthusiasm to go to class. Especially when I can instead just sleep in until one on those days. @_@;; I have such awful habits.

Haha, speaking of class, I have one in 10 minutes. I should go. XD;

Ah I see, well I guess you made the very right wise choice.

Math/Computer major huh? I presume it's your first or not second year? lol I used to sleep in for both Chem class and my not so awesome Law electives (<--wrong move I almost failed Law, but I managed to pull a pass xD).

Yeh you should go, take care.

Yeah, first year. ^^; I doubt I could get away with my bad study/...going to class habits in further years. @_@; Especially if I live off-campus. xD It's hard enough to get up for class when I'm right there, so I can't imagine having to take a bus or walk for 20 minutes or something. *needs to curb the laziness now before it gets even worse, haha*

Lol lucky you, apparently I have to ride my bike and if not drive to uni -_-, I just wish I could live in a dorm..I'd get so much freedom out of it.., what do you reckon of Math/Comp major? fun? boring? I was thinking of doing a 2nd comp major for next year but I still don't know wether I should..

Aside from my roommates, who are okay but messier than me (which is saying something!), I love living in a dorm. It's so easy to get to class and everything.

I'm at a school that practically revolves around the math faculty (it's one of its major draw-in factors, since it's the only math faculty in Canada, I think). So it's kind of intense here, but I love math so I really don't mind. :x I guess if you like math, and are also really interested in the fundamentals behind computers and such, computer science is a good field. 8D

Messy roommates much? xD, ugh maybe thats one of the downpoint of having to live in a dorm, but meh I'll manage..somehow =P.

Yeh I love my maths but I haven't done much further maths since the last few semesters, all I'm doing now are just science and comp stuff. But I'm going to take up Calc stuff next year though, so might aswell clean up the desk and prepare myself to virtually become lifeless for a whole semester -__-. I see well alright I might take your words into consideration then/

Yeah, I'm in a suite-style dorm, and my suitemates don't clean the kitchen or anything. 8( I always cook and eat in my friend's suite instead. It's to the point where I'm more used to his roommates than mine, which is kinda sad, but oh well.

Yeah, if you like math then it should be too much of a problem. I can't imagine taking the courses I am now if I didn't like it, though. xD Algebra is pretty fun, but the workload for Calculus here is just brutal. I pulled an all nighter last night doing an assignment. We get one every week in both courses, but the calc one takes about 10 hours minimum to complete. T_T;;

Lol I feel sorry for you, at least your keeping up well aren't you? xD

Alright now you're making it sounded like its hellish torture to do Calculus (for a moment there you just sounded like a rocket scientist you know that? xD jkz), well I believe I did passed Calc back in high school with a decent mark so I'm thinking that I hopefully could do the same thing again next year, but alright are you serious about the calc assignment which takes you about (well I should say minimum but o well) 10 hrs to complete? that sounded like a complete hell for a first year Math/Comp major student.

It's... honestly probably just this school. I have friends in the same major at other schools who don't whine about this at all. XD;

:B The workload really is hell sometimes. I mean, we get an algebra, calculus, and CS assignment every week. CS is due at 11:59 on Tuesday nights. Then Wednesday morning is algebra, and Friday morning is Calculus. xD; It's insane sometimes (and I don't even have the CS assignment to worry about now!), but... at least the algebra assignment is always fun. :D I prefer the logic-based stuff over calculus any day. I hate graphing. XD;

Ugh...I'm planning on majoring in Engineering[probably Comp. Engineering or just Comp Science], and visited a college today....

I'll apparently be taking like, forever amounts of years of calc. I'm going to die. X_X

But it's a fun course of study, I think. Math all the time gets repetitive and boring though. Oh well. No pleasure without pain, right ? X_X

Well, in university, the courses move a lot faster than they did before. :x So it's more like "wait, we're already done that subject? wtf!" than "why won't this eeeend?" But yeah, the calc is deeefinitely mandatory if you're going into engineering. Though here, the engineers take a different calculus from the math students. So it'll be more relevant to your other courses, too. It might not be too bad? xD

Yeah, I'm pretty good at Math, as well. It just gets boring and repetitive...I'll get through it somehow, I guess.

And plus, I get to tool around with computers all day. And who doesn't like that ?

That's the spirit! XD;

:B My main reason for wanting to go into CS was mostly just because I like computers and the basic programming I did in high school, but I found out the field is actually even more interesting than that. I can't wait until I can take some of the second- or third-year courses. I love how specific everything is in university~

And back to classes high school students can attempt...

I got a letter of commendation for media yesterday, everyone got one but that doesn't make it any less good. XD;;

You are lucky to even be in university. I might not be able to get into one as I am not that clever. I want to go though. It is one of my main goals.
