I didn't want to make a thread of this until the anime got up to the point where Danzo dies.

And I want to ask your opinion, do you think he was good or actually bad?

For me, the death of Danzo is one of the saddest in the anime (the saddest being Jiraiya of course), and I think everything he was doing actually was for a good cause, and I really can't imagine him in a negative light. The episode really showed how good-intended he was and how bad Sasuke has actually become. From that point in the Manga and the Anime, he had become one of my favourite characters.

Didn't like him, didn't really care enough about him to be happy or sad at his death. Best thing about the episode was...
    Spoiler:

I honestly didn't like him at all, and he wasn't any saint. He told Itachi to kill off his clan or gods sake, and weren't those eyes on his arm from those killed people too?

/Though that Flashback caused a little confusion to me, it did make him seem that what he had in mind were good intentions, he just went about them wrong.

But still, I'm glad Sasuke got his revenge anyways.

He was a power hungry and jealous fool that was angry over Hiruzen being picked as Hokage over him. Although he was trying to do what is better for the village I don't like the way he went about things, and the way he used ROOT ninja as complete and utter disposable tools. Yes they are self-sacrificing ninja but I don't agree with his stance. I don't think his death was really saddening compared to Jiraiya or Asuma. He was just another twisted character that had alterior motives outside of the betterment of the village.

Just like some other people said, I wasn't really a big fan of him, I actually wanted him to be killed. And he did!

Whatever happened to spoilers these days.

Anyway Danzo was meh for me, I really didn't care about him at all. Was creeped out by his arm of Sharingan, other than that booooring.

Him dying kind of surprised me, but I could care less, lol. And like everyone else, the arm weirded me out.

I felt sorry for him a great deal after I saw his flashbacks and what happened to him, and thought he was the most ninja-y character in a ninja manga where most of the supposed ninja characters aren't very ninja-y in terms of scruples or deception.

Good or bad though? It's all perspective. Do you support Konoha? Then he was good, despite risks that he saw as pragmatic, he was in the end willing to die for Konoha.
