I LOVE YOU.

Thanks XD

And hey, my slap isn't weak. *slaps random kid walking by*

Random Kid: Are you kidding me?

Waah. Oh yeah, in advance, if I don't post for like two days, don't freak out, I just don't have access to a computer during those days. JSYK.

I am done. I can still make changes if you call for it.

乚☆丁工回己❀- No, it's good, you're Accepted

However, your pokemon will have access to every move that it learns naturally in addition to three TM moves, so you don't need to do a moveset, except you should keep track of your TM move (that applies to everyone)

Okay, let's start, I feel like I've been putting this off (which I wasn't, but don't comment anyways)

You are either sitting in your room staring out of the window, or walking outside on the street at night, when you see two dark silhouettes moving against the moon. They leap from rooftop to rooftop, and seem to be heading towards the center of the city. Curious, you follow, keeping your eyes on the two people as they move silently across the rooftops. They look around every few minutes, but don't see you, after a while, they begin moving more hurriedly towards the center of the city, towards, you notice, the beautiful garden in the center of Alto Mare. However, you aren't the only one, at the same time as you head towards the garden, black-clad people are moving through the narrow streets, they seem to be keeping watch....

You either....

Follow the two people on the rooftops to the garden or run into one of the people dressed in black, who will likely challenge you to a battle, or worse, blindfold, gag, and bind you in ropes, rendering you immobile, and leave you there, your best hope of getting free being having a citizen of the city find you.

But be careful of the many canals, its more than easy to get lost in this city, and at night, strange things can happen.

Looking up at the night sky the night breeze ruffling his hair Drake watches the night sky amazed at how clear it is compared to other cities he's been too. he leans against a building one leg raised with his foot resting on the building with his hands in his pockets, as he's watching the stars two figures catch his attention, he can't make out what they look like or what they're up too but deciding to investigate he begins following them.

After a few city blocks Drake having not taking many right turns he finds himself at a dead end, Something suddenly bursts out of the shadows tackling him "Absol... You really enjoy trying to scare me don't you?" he says with a it of a smirk causing the Absol to give him an innocent look as if to say "Who me?" making him chuckle but he stops suddenly... He suddenly feels like they aren't alone. Absol quickly lets Drake up.

Without even saying a word the new person tosses a poke ball out revealing his pokemon. Light shines from the ball as an Electabuzz stands before Drake and Absol, to which Absol moves in front of Drake growling deeply "Electabuzz, Cross chop." The figure says with a smug confidence "Absol.... Show this scrub you're not a push over.... Double Team.." Absol nods moving faster, several images of herself appearing around the area confusing the electric pokemon and angering it slightly, bringing both of it's hands down it strikes.... Air as the illusion disappears "Electabuzz, SHOCK WAVE!" Before Drake and Absol could react the Electabuzz lets out a huge burst of electricity Hitting absol tossing her back into a wall "Absol! Can you stand?" drake shouts asking. Weakly the Absol replies as she staggers out. "Heh Electabuzz, Finish that weakling, thunderpunch." the thug orders, Electabuzz moves fast as arcs of electricity spark around it's fist "Absol double team." Drake commands With the same result as last time it was done "That trick again? Shock Wave." The thug replies causing Drake to smirk "Absol SUCKER PUNCH!" (I think I'll stop there for now, I hope it was good.)

Quin has just decided she likes the city of Alto Mare. She is taking a little night promenade with her Skitty, Audrey. Both Quin and Audrey have always liked walking around during the night. Moreover, you can't really roam the busy streets with a small Skitty when it's the rush hour.
As Quin and Audrey walk, they notice a ladder leading up to a roof. Since Quin is on her journey for the sole purpose of gaining all sorts of experiences so she could be a writer one day, she decides to climb up, on the roof. Audrey hops on her back and so she climbs up the ladder.

When she gets up, Audrey jumps down from her back. Suddently, she turns around sharply and stares behind Quin, towards the moon. As Quin turns around, she sees two silhouettes moving along the rooftops. It's too dark to see whether the two figures are male or female. Quin squints and tries to see better. Audrey seems to be very nervous, as she is trembling and growling with a low, faint voice.

"Leave them be, Audrey", says Quin, trying to sound calming when she actually is very nervous herself. "Maybe they're chimney sweepers."
Audrey lifts her little, light brown face and gives Quin a blaming expression. Quin sighs, checks that the balls of her four other Pokémon are still safely attached to her belt. She stands there wavering. Should she follow the suspicious figures or just go down and pretend nothing ever happened? She knows they're not chimney sweepers but they still might be decent people.

Suddently the two figures stop and look around. Quin gets startled and crouches so that they can't see her. She watches as the two figures get further away from her and Audrey. After a few seconds, she takes a swift look at Audrey. The Skitty is staring at her with the most accusatory facial expression a cute Pokémon like her can make. Quin shighs again, smiles faintly and pats Audrey's head.

"All right, we'll go after them. After all, this, if something, is an experience!" she tells the Pokémon. "Unfortunately you're not very agile so I'm going to have to call you back in the ball."

Audrey nods and vanishes into the ball in a red light. Quin takes another ball off her belt.
"I think you can help me, Luffy", Quin says silently as she pushes the button on the ball and a Jumpluff appears. He seems to understand he's not out to play. Quin briefly explains the situation to Luffy and the two start following the figures along the rooftops.

Soon they have vanished into the night, too.

LOL...didn't work, I guess.

Nyah. *sticks out tongue*

Harper was normally one for adventures. But tonight, when she saw the two figures along the rooftops, she thought This is where the best adventure of all begins. This is where something happens to me, finally. She didn't know how she knew, she just knew she knew. Which didn't make a lot of sense, but anyway...

"All right," she whispered to herself, "let's do this. They don't look very innocent."

She didn't have any of her Pokemon out. Nighttime was the time when they, like her, happened to be sleeping, except she wasn't sleeping because she'd been too busy thinking. Thinking about Aaron, again. Her best friend, but also her crush. She hadn't known until her 14th birthday, a year ago, when he came to her birthday party, and she looked at him and felt something different than friendship. He was practically an adult, almost 17 and a half now, and she was just a boring 15 year old. Or 15 year young, as she liked to say...but that wasn't the point.

So she'd been thinking about him and why he did what he did to her, made her all nervous when he was around her and couldn't think of what to say, or, rather, the weird things she did say...when he talked to her, all she could really think of to say was 'Can I eat your shirt?' or something equally un-related to the topic, and crazy-sounding at that.

Now she was in Altomare, after having somewhat of a small adventure with her Pokemon team she'd built up. She was raised in Blackthorn, and her heart would always belong to that city, but now she was in a strange, different part of the world, somewhere below Johto and next to Kanto, and she felt somewhat homesick. Aaron, though, lived in Sinnoh, and she knew that if ever they were to be together (Ha, she thought, yeah right.), she'd have to learn not to be so homesick. Well, she figured, at least she'd have Aaron there and it would make things better.

But she didn't even know if he felt the same. So she'd come out here to sort things out, and that's when she'd seen the people leaping from rooftop to rooftop, thinking, Okay, they can jump REALLY far, that's like 20 feet or something, but then remembering that in all the movies she'd watched the villians had been able to do that. Figures.

"Time to go," she whispered, and followed on the ground, making sure to always keep the two in sight.

Five seconds later...

"Dammit," she said quietly as she sat there in the canal she'd fallen into. "Oh well, maybe this can help me." She climbed out of the canal and followed the two again, keeping the canal always in sight. When the two disappeared through something - she couldn't tell what - she noticed that there was a tunnel leading through the canal she'd kept in her sights.

"Hmm..." Harper slipped into the water and then noticed she wouldn't be able to with some of the clothes she was wearing. She took off her black boots, Ugg-look-alikes with little fuzzy balls swinging around from the top, and set them next to the canal, below the bridge that was above it, so they were out of sight, and then stripped to her tanktop and shorts. She still couldn't swim very well, but she was not going to go skinny-dipping, that might be a little alarming to someone walking by (not that many people were in the middle of the night), and when she found the two, she did not want to be naked.

Like, ewww.

So she disappeared into the tunnel, thinking maybe she heard something behind her, someone following, but maybe not...

OOC: This is where another character can come in, you don't have to though, it's just a supply for a good entrance. XD

And yes, Harper will chase a guy in here, most likely. All my happy, hyper characters do (they're all like me in that sense xP). Parker or Kasey, she'll choose which one eventually. Not saying their feelings will be reciprocated (who knew I knew that word?) but she doesn't care.

We're both awesome like that XD

If she chooses Parker, she'll probably try and get him happy, kinda like Tanpopo in Imadoki, like 'GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!' and stuff like that. If it's Kasey, she'll be like 'HE-LLO, I LIKE YOU, WAKE UP!!"

Romance is always part of my RPs, didn't ya know? XD

Night. A strange time of day. Where almost everything is pitch-black, except for the remainder of lights within the rooms of others. Anyways, it was the perfect time for a walk. After all, this land was...peaceful. Or so it seemed. No one really attacked others at night, and it was too busy in the day, so a walk in the glistening moon was the perfect opportunity...

Or so Gale thought. She had just sat down after walking for almost a half hour. She kept her Pokemon in their balls, and made sure they were hidden. Although she was a more-than-decent trainer, she still didn't want people to know she had Pokemon, just in case they tried to attack her for them. They weren't the kinds you saw in this area, really.

Staring up at the gorgeous crescent moon, Gale suddenly noticed two figures shrouded in darkness leap in front of that incredible moon. Following their movements, Gale noticed them leaping from one building to the next. Curious as to see where they were going (and why they preferred doing it this way), she began following them into what she would call "limbo". She didn't know where she'd end up, and how to return...

A garden. The most tranquil garden in all of Alto Mare. Gazing upon its beauty, Gale couldn't seem to locate where the two shadows from earlier had come from. But, seeing how she was already in the garden, she pulled out a coin of some sort, and threw it into the fountain, making a wish. Her wish was, of course, personal, but it really didn't matter now, did it? The two figures soon came into sight again, and Gale was prepared to chase after them into the darkest of night...

(Hope that was an OK beginning post.)

A breeze blew southwestern, ruffling the folds of Angel's coat. Next to her, Husky, her honchkrow, shuffled against the wind. "sense anything, Husky?" she asked. Husky crowed softly, an almost definite yes. She turned her head, "north, south, west, east or central?" Husky pointed his beak towards a giant tower in the distance near the centre of Alto mare. Two dancing figures leap from roof-top to roof-top, swiftly and silently making their way through the city. She stayed as still as possible, never taking her eyes off the figures. The two were heading for a nearby destination, as their pace was certain. She stood up, the wind blew softly on her own roof-top. She held out her arm, "come on, Husky, we better see what they're up to," she whispered. Husky nodded his head in understanding.

Husky was a silent flyer, like most honchkrows, and they flew fast through the night. That was a good thing, the bad thing was, that they had lost the figures long ago but were certain they were around here. "time to land Husky, no use in flying around aimlessly and losing energy" she commanded. "yeep!" cried Husky, Angel knew that sound very well, Husky's wings had just locked up, what's worse? They were right on top of a canal. "go, Tandra!" she called out desperately, throwing the pokeball she thought was Tandra's. Trying to find pokeballs at night were a very big hassle. A red beam shot out from the pokeball and re-formed on the canal, Angel landing on top of it. "Draaa..." tandra cried softly to her, craning it's elegant neck back. Husky fluttered softly above their heads, cooing endlessly. The sound of pounding footsteps upon concrete reached their ears, apparently, the noise they had caused upon landing in the canal had warned others of their presence. A man clad in black reached within the seeing range of their eyes and immediately sent out a rather grotesque looking skuntank. "who are you and what do you want?!" he yelled brutally. Angel stared at him, willing him to know that she didn't want anything to do with him. Unfortunately, only her pokemon seemed to know what she was thinking. He ordered his pokemon to attack.

The battle didn't last for too long. Two against one was a very good advantage, both Tandra and Husky had been in many double battles and the man wasn't exactly an expert in battling against two pokemon. Angel sighed, 'that had been a complete waste of her time' she unclasped a pokeball from her belt, "in you go, Tandra, if the need arises, you won't be able to escape fast enough on land" she consoled, returnign Tandra and clasping it back on her belt. She instead reached for another pokeball and released it, "go, Rio" she said silently, her lucario popping out shortly. "let's go, we have all night to find the two silhouettes I saw, so don't miss anything" she ordered Husky and Rio. They both nodded, following her closely and searching for any clues as they wandered around the area. A distant clock tower read the time, 02:27am...

Cadence Atilago

"Shh...Blixt, look at the stars..." Cadence whispered quietly to the Ampharos standing beside her. The Ampharos, evidently named Blixt, seemed to sigh softly.

"Ampharos..." She seemed to be enchanted by something in the sky, and it was a short while before Cadence realized what Blixt was looking at was not in fact the stars, but two figures, sillhouetted against the moon. Immediately upon catching sight of them, Cadence felt the urge to follow. Funny how she had always been like that.

"Come on, let's check it out!" Cadence said in a hushed tone, and Blixt nodded silently in agreement. Without further hesitation, they followed the path of the figure, occsionally losing them as they turned down alleys. They're heading for the center of the city...Cadence noticed, as she barely avoided walking into a wall. Then the figures disappeared into the night. Oh well, she knew where they were headed, she just had to move towards the center of the city. Towards...the Garden of Alto Mare.

"That place?" She said out loud, true, it was a beautiful place, but why would anyone want to go there at night. Maybe they just liked the dark, she didn't know, either way, she couldn't resist turning again to head towards the center of the city.

"Pharos!" Ampharos murmured, as a dim glow lit the area behind Cadence. Startled, she turned around to see Blixt holding the round orb on its tail between the Pokemon's two paws, it was giving off a dim glow, and apparently Blixt intended to use it like a lanturn of some sort. Blixt walked in front of Cadence, lighting up a small area of the streets in front of them.

It was all very quiet, no noise except for the sound of their footsteps, which seemed to be magnified in the silence, and therefore, Cadence and Blixt were nearly startled to death when suddenly, classical music seemed to be drifting out of the second window of a building. Who played classical music in the middle of the night. Weird people, that's who.

"Ampharos!" Blixt cried suddenly, slipping, and, Cadence noted with alarm, falling towards the dark, rippling surface of one of the many canals in this city. Blixt hit the water with a echoing splash as Cadence ran forward, kneeling on the narrow walkway and extending her hand as Blixt surfaced. Though Blixt did, in fact, know how to swim, it hadn't been prepared for this, and panicked with the shock of hitting the cold water and having it close over her head. As a result, the Ampharos could only splash helplessly as Cadence managed to grip onto its paw and pull it slowly towards the shore.

At last, Blixt had regained some control, and helped by paddling towards the shore with its tail, and they sat on the walkway for a while, listening to the classical music that was still coming from that one apartment, or hotel room, maybe. A few minutes passed in near silence, where the only noises were Cadence and Blixt's breathing, and the classical music. Finally, Cadence stood up again.

"Want to return to our room?" She asked, expecting a firm nod. What she hadn't prepared for was Blixt's quick shake of her head. Without wasting any more time, Blixt headed forward again, leaving Cadence with no choice but to follow.

Gwendolyn wandered alone in the streets of Alto Mare. In total silence, she could only hear her own footsteps. She saw many water canals here and there. The city definitely lived up to its name: the City of Water. The water was crystal clear, and one's reflections can be seen. Gwendolyn stared at the reflected scenery of the sky. The crescent moon was breathtaking. A movement caught her eye. Two figures gracefully moved from rooftop to rooftop, against the moon. Gwendolyn turned to look at the real silhouttes. They are most likely thieves to be on rooftops at night, Gwendolyn thought. Humans are none of my business. Let them be. She couldn't care if they slipped and fell. Gwendolyn kept on walking for some time.

"Just where do you think you are going?" A voice demanded in front of her.

A Glalie stared at her out of the dark, its trainer behind it. Its piercing eyes showed no mercy. Gwendolyn, who will not fight unless necessary, backed off and tried to run in the opposite direction. She found out there is absolutely no way of escaping at all. That ice demon of a Glalie had used Block. She had no choice but to send in a Pokémon.

"Clefairy, nine point eight." Gwendolyn called Clefairy into battle. Nine point eight is the command for Clefairy to use Gravity because that is the value of a normal gravitational acceleration on earth in the unit metres per square second. The area within Clefairy's line of sight darkened as Clefairy unleashed.

Glalie hovered towards Clefairy. It stared at her with curiosity, then with eyes of a bully. Glalie rudely knocked Clefairy to the ground with its body. Clefairy stood up, not really hurt. Glalie gave her another shove and hovered back to keep its distance. Clefairy got up again, with anger in her eyes. Gwendolyn observed the opponent's strange behaviour, and wondered why it did that. She decided to ignore it, and commanded Clefairy to use Grass Knot. Her eyes glowed.

"Glalie, Blizzard." the mysterious trainer ordered. A gust of snow and ice blew towards Clefairy's way. The wind blew and blew. Accumulated ice and snow crushed Clefairy. Glalie finally stopped. Clefairy emerged from the freezing pile, shivering with cold but a fuming expression was clear in her eyes.

"Clefairy, reflections." Gwendolyn wanted her Clefairy to recover from the strong Blizzard with Moonlight. Why use Softboiled when Clefairy can harness the reflection from the moon? To her surprise, Clefairy did nothing.

"Softboiled, then." Gwendolyn tried to get Clefairy to use another healing move. Clefairy did nothing again. Gwendolyn looked at the Clefairy. There was an urge to damage Glalie in the Pokémon's eyes. Gwendolyn realised that Glalie didn't knock Clefairy down for fun. It was using Taunt. Never mind, Gwendolyn thought. She would just switch.

Glalie sent another chilling Blizzard towards Clefairy. At the last possible moment, Gwendolyn withdrew Clefairy and switched in Monferno. The monkey took the blow. Snow and ice piled up on him. When the snowstorm subsided, there was an ice statue. Monferno was frozen.

As Absol brings her foreleg up jamming her clawed paw into the Electabuzz, the Electabuzz was jamming his fist into her, causing both to and slowly fall before Absol catches herself, the white fur ruffled badly while she stands there panting heavily but victorious, atleast against the thug's first pokemon. after that the thug recalls his pokemon and runs off while Drake tends to his absol "You know, if you'd let me put you in a poke ball I could get you to a pokemon center faster..." he says spraying a potion onto the pokemon's various wounds. Absol manages to give him one of those looks that could mean one thing and a look as if he just said he was the King of Spain.(Short post today, not alot of time for a longer one. I'll try and make a better one next time.)

Cadence Atilago

"What do you think you're doing?" A voice asked rudely from the darkness, and Cadence took a moment to try and spot whoever was speaking to her. A strange man, dressed entirely in black and with a black hood-like thing covering most of his face stared mockingly back at her. His lips parted in a rather mean grin, revealing perfectly straight, white teeth, but that wasn't the point.

Cadence backed off several steps, and the man leered at her.

"Sorry, but I can't let ya go any farther." He said simply, waving his hand in the air in some sort of odd gesture, was it supposed to mean something? Or was it just some crazy thing that he did. Either way, Cadence began to grow suspicious.

"Why not?" She asked, rather more boldly than she normally would have.

"And don't think I'm gonna tell ya that. 'Cause I ain't givin' anythin' away." The man replied in an amused tone, annoying Cadence. The not so serious part of her protested indignantly, that's an insult to my intelligence. Yeah, that would really get her out of any trouble. Meanwhile, the more serious part of her said, well then, I'll just have to find out myself then.

"Get out of the way." Cadence muttered. Maybe she'd save herself some trouble and go another way, but the man didn't seem to want it to happen. They were in a narrow alleyway, no houses or windows here.

The man glowered at her, "if ya ain't gonna listen then I'll just have to do it the hard way. Go, Houndoom!" A dog like Pokemon appeared in a red glow of light, though only its outline was visable in the darkness.

"Houndoom, huh? Well, to save the trouble, let's do this, Blixt!"

"Pharos!" Blixt stepped forward, a challenging stare in its eyes. The Houndoom's eyes glowed bright red in the darkness, the only part of it visable in the blackness. This wasn't a good place for a battle, in the tight space, dodging was difficult and any attack was almost sure to hit.

"Ampharos, Power Gem!" She commanded.

Ampharos quickly responded, attacking with a shimmering ray of light, it was hard to believe that this, a rock type move, could be super effective on Houndoom. Apparently, the opponent wasn't very smart, because he didn't tell his Pokemon to counter, rather, he stood there helplessly as Houndoom was hit.

Maybe this would be easier than she thought...

I have to change the tense, I simply can't write in present tense -_- I'm very sorry, I hope this doesn't bother anyone...

Quin had some serious problems with following the two persons up on the roofs. They seemed to know what they were doing while Quin simply had no idea. Alto Mare was a serious maze of streets and canals, leaving gaps right where Quin wanted to go. They were just barely too wide for her to jump over, so it annoyed her considerably. Luffy the Jumpluff was too light to carry Quin, so she had to use detours more than often. Soon enough she was ready to give up.

"Why am I chasing after them?" she asked out loud while trying to climb over an extraordinarily steep roof. She was already out of breath, but she still kept jogging after the two suspicious silhouettes. Luffy came back to check on her again. He seemed impatient.

"Can't we give up or something?" Quin huffed to him. He stared at her without any change of expression. He knew Quin well enough to tell that she would regret not following the suspicious pair.
"Right, I know", Quin mumbled and jumped over a narrow gap. When she landed, her foot slipped and she slid backwards. She wasn't able to get a hold of the eave, so she fell from the roof, letting out a horribly loud shriek. Oh, please let it be a canal beneath me, she thought right before she hit the surface of the cold water. A huge splash echoed on the silent streets.

When she came back up, she saw that a couple of windows nearby had lit up. She had woken up the peaceful citizens. She felt embarassed about following the two characters against all common sense. Luffy was slowly ascending from the sky, shaking his head now that he saw Quin was unharmed. While Quin was bathing in self-pity, a voice came from somewhere.

"Who's there? Are you all right?"

Quin swiftly looked around, trying to determine whether the voice was hostile or not. She noticed a figure standing next to a corner of a house. She gulped.

"I... I'm all right, I guess", she said with a shivering voice. She gulped again. Who was this person? Was it a friendly citizen or some scary burglar or something? SHe gasped when she realized this person could have something to do with the two people up on the roofs...

Akula was sitting on a rooftop of one of the many buildings of Alto Mare, gazing up at the stars of the night sky. A light breeze brushed at her body, causing her long hair to flutter in front of her face. Delicately, she took the strands of hair and tucked them behind her ear.

Alto Mare was a middle-sized city, far from the sprawling metropolises of Johto or Kanto, but also much larger than the village where Akula had grown up. Yet it was suprisingly dark, even this early in the night. Hundreds of thousands of stars dotted the night sky like gems sparkling on a black canvas, but it was still nothing compared to what Akula remembered from her childhood. In her village, a tiny town where most people got by through farming, one could see millions of stars, where the Milky Way sprawled across the inky darkness "like spilled milk", like her brother used to say, or in her opinion, more like tiny powder of a crushed diamond that had been smeared across the black canvas of the heavens.

Until the flames consumed it.

Blocking out the memory, Akula whispered to her Beautifly, "Isn't it beautiful?" Whisper was perched upon her head, cooing softly, not even looking up at the heavens above. Akula gave a small smiled and reached up to stroke the Beautifly's head with a single finger. Maybe she should let out her other Pokemon too, although the motel owner was rather opposed to having Gale on his roof. He reckoned that a Pokemon that size might damage the building with its weight. Akula thought otherwise, but it was pointless arguing.

Whisper gave a questioning coo, and Akula felt her shift her weight upon her head. Glancing up, she saw that Whisper was looking at something far in the distance. Glancing in the general direction, she spotted two sihlouttes, clearly outlined against the crescent moon. But for just a second, for they quickly moved, hopping across rooftops with suprising agility.

Akula stood up and recalled Whisper back into her Pokeball. What were two people, all clad in black, doing moving across rooftops at this time of day? The only reason she could think of were that they were criminals, or doing something that certainly wouldn't be appreciated by the population of Alto Mare.

Curious, she decided to follow the two, and clambered onto a nearby rooftop. She had never realized before just how densly packed the city was, and how easy it was to leap from one building to the next. She followed the two as best she could, but they were faster than she was. Obviously they had more practice in this kind of thing. Very soon she lost sight of them.

Panting for breath, she sat down on the roof she had ended up on and looked down at the ground. Well that had been entirely pointless. At least she got some exercise. It was really probably time to head back to her motel room and get some sleep. But that was easier said than done, she had lost track of her location. A tapping sound was coming from behind her, but she paid no attention from it.

Without warning, she felt something strike her stomach and knock the wind out of her. Akula fell over on the ground, gasping for breath that wouldn't come. Above her stood a figure, completely black. It looked like the ones she had been following. How...

The other figure approached, leaping off a rooftop to land perfectly on the one they were on. "What do we do with her?" the one who had punched her in the stomach asked the other.

"Bind her and leave her here," the other answered. Akula froze. Yep, these two were definitely criminals of some sort. She inwardly cursed herself for being so foolish as to let them sneak up on her like that. They hadn't been particularly quiet either; through hindsight, she remembered hearing a tapping noise that had been the man's footsteps.

"Espeon, psybeam!" She heard the distinctive sound of a Pokemon being released from its ball and saw the red light glow reflect off the rooftop. Within seconds her body was suddenly glowing with rainbow energy, and pain wracked through her. She screamed, the sound slicing clearly through the quiet night.

One of the two men swore, and she felt a cloth that tasted of Diet Dr. Pepper being forced into her mouth, cutting off her scream. She reached for the Pokeballs on her belt, but her hands were suddenly held within an iron grasping fist. She kicked the man, who grunted in pain as the blows connected with his shin and quickly twisted out of the way and twisted both of her hands behind her back. She felt ropes being tied around her wrists, and suddenly the hands let go. She wriggled her arms, but to no avail.

Now they were busy tying up her legs. She wasn't making it easy for them though, flailing around the way she was. "Psybeam again!" the man called to the Espeon, and suddenly pain shot through Akula's body again, her scream stifled by the cloth in her mouth.

Very soon they had her bound, gagged, and blindfolded, left sitting against a chimney on the roof. Akula didn't dare to move, for there was a likely possibility now of rolling of the roof blind and dropping to the ground. Even if below wasn't solid concrete, and instead the water of the canal, she could hardly swim without hands or feet. Cursing her own stupidity, all she could do was sit there, wait and hope. This is why they say "Curiosity killed the Meowth," she thought bitterly to herself.

There was silence when both trainers waited for the other to let their guard down. For the perfect opportunity to strike. The only sounds came from Monferno's tail flame, although the rest of the Pokémon was frozen. It made crackling sounds because of the moisture in the air. Gwendolyn stared hard at the trainer, collecting little bits of information of how the trainer looked, starting with the physical body features like the height, length of the neck and colour of the skin.

"You cannot run." the mysterious trainer said at last.

Gwendolyn thought it would be a good idea to keep on talking. "That's true." she said.

"You cannot fight." the trainer reminded her.

Gwendolyn shrugged as she take a good look at the clothing. "Not really. I'll still try."

You cannot do anything at all." the trainer ignored Gwendolyn's response.

"I can still switch." Gwendolyn answered cheekily as she registered the last pieces of information. Facial features like the eyes, nose, ears and chin. She had a hunch about the trainer's next move.

"You cannot win anyway. I am actually impressed with your serenity. I assume this Pokémon is your best one against those with an ice typing. It is powerlessly frozen solid. Yet you are not worried about the impossibility to win."

"I have flawless confidence in my Pokémon." Gwendolyn said. A serious and determined appearance flared in place of the Murkrow smile. She held out a PokéBall straight out in front of her. "Monferno, come--"

"Block!" the trainer commanded. Glalie froze the moisture between Gwendolyn and Monferno, creating a thick ice wall just high enough to separate the trainer's PokéBall and Pokémon. Gwendolyn grinned. Her prediction was right. Many trainers can't resist keeping a momentarily helpless opponent in, especially one that affects the chances of victory significantly. There is a simple explanation to it. The battle is in their favour. Gwendolyn drew out her pocket calculator and punched the buttons hurriedly.

"That's your item of choice? A calculator?" the trainer said with surprise and disbelief. Gwendolyn nodded without looking up. "Save yourself the effort. I can tell you the probability of you winning the match is zero." The mysterious trainer continued with a laugh.

"No, it says one." Gwendolyn replied with a silly smile.

"This battle has been dragging on for too long. I have to end this now. Glalie!" the trainer ordered the Pokémon to attack. Glalie knows Earthquake and Blizzard. It was also trained to pick the right move depending on which would do more damage. The trainer knew the combined typings of these attack are not resisted by any Pokémon.

"Two fiery radians!" Gwendolyn commanded Monferno to perform the attack Flame Wheel. Drawing an angle of two pi radians is the same as drawing a 360 degrees angle, or a circle. Gwendolyn knew the move Flame Wheel was capable of unfreezing its user.

Monferno glowed red with heat. Instead of ice, violent flames wrapped the Pokémon's body, turning Monferno into a living fireball. Monferno rolled into Glalie, engulfing Glalie in flames.

"Over here!" Gwendolyn rushed to the way she had been. She knew that if Monferno successfully struck Glalie, Block was no longer in effect. Gwendolyn had calculated that Glalie would lose upon impact. Monferno's momentum wasn't strong enough to defeat Glalie, but the blaze was more than adequate. Monferno, with the tail flame as the only flame on his body, jumped over the wall of ice and followed her. Gwendolyn knew the trainer couldn't catch up immediately. Clefairy's Grass Knot had bound the mysterious trainer's feet to the ground, buying her time to escape. Gwendolyn wanted to see the look on the trainer's face. She wanted to see the frustration the trainer had. But Gwendolyn never looked back.

Much to Quin's relief, the voice belonged to a simple old man taking a night promenade. The man helped her up from the canal and invited her for a cup of coffee at his place.

"Sorry, I don't have the time right now," Quin replied, looking up although she couldn't really see anything in the dark. "Do you know how I can get back to the roofs?"

"The roofs?" the man sounded suspicious of something. "Why would you want to climb to a roof?"

"Eh, that is," Quin tried to come up with a lie, "My Skitty was teasing me and she's still up there. I have to get her down..."

"Oh, I see," the man said happily but didn't sound any more trusting. "You'll find a ladder if you walk up this street for ten meters or so."

Quin walked to the direction the man had pointed her as quikly and non-suspiciously as she ever could. She knew the man was watching her when she started to climb the ladder. When her eyes were high enough for her to see on the rooftops again, she noticed that the two characters were standing nearby and mumbling something to each other. She had to climb all the way up or the man might have called the police or something, so she climbed up as silently as she could and squatted as soon as her feet were on the tin plate roof again.

She was soaking wet and the wind on the roof was freezing. She was shivering so much she was sure the characters could hear her. When Luffy floated to her from her back and touched her shoulder to greet her, she got so startled she let out a yelp. The whispering of the two suspicious silhouettes stopped and they looked around, seemingly alarmed.

Quin gasped and grabbed Luffy to her lap so he would not be seen. Had they seen her? Had she given out herself after such a long chase?

Note: If nothing else, I thought I'd try to keep this thread alive. How and where is everyone? Busy with school maybe? Anyway, I thought I'd post before a month has passed and before it'd be against the rules for us to post.

Drake begins to help his absol up when the thug he thought he beat tosses another poke ball "I guess I got no choice, Nidoking." he says with a hint of malice in his voice. Drake raiseshis head giving the thug an emotionless stare "So it's time to show our hands, to bad for you I hold the aces... You should have ran when you had the chance.' Drake finally says tossing a poke ball of his own "Luna, I'll leave it to you." The young trainer says as he turns to tend to Absol.

"Heh Nidoking, Megahorn." The Black clad opponent commands, to which his purple pokemon begins barreling towards Luna but the Umbreon dodged back catching some pavement to the face where the Nidoking's horn impacted before firing off a confuse ray.

Drake having total confidence in Luna's combat abilities begins spraying his Absol with potion. Meanwhile Umbreon stares intently on the Nidoking who in it's dazed state almost stumbles into the water causing it's trainer to quickly recall it before booking it into the night. Luna strolls over to Drake and Absol "Feeling better Absol?" to which she nods "Alright lets go... We probably can expect more of those fools." Drake Recalls Luna and he and Absol disapear into the shadows.
