Rikki stood there for a moment, shocked herself, about what he had done, and about what she had done. She fell back onto the roof, still not really registering much of anything. Her mind went blank for a minute. She wasn't sure what just happened.

After a minute, she snapped out of it, looking over to the other Angels. Still, she didn't say anything, she just turned her head to her lap. With a sigh, she pulled her knees to her chest and tucked her head between her knees. She wrapped her arms around her knees. She was slowly breathing in and out, trying to calm herself. She wasn't letting herself cry anymore.

She was still a mind reader. She wasn't going to let him off that easily. He was going to talk to her, or at least listen to her.

Alex. What was that about? she asked him, sending it to him. She knew he would be able to hear her. She knew his mind better than anyone else's, so he wouldn't be able to escape the thought. And if he ignored her, she'd just keep sending.

Silver's cry worsened when she picked him. He should have known better. He did. But it still hurt...

"No!" Shouted Alex, who pushed Rikkilyn back.

Silver, ignoring his tears, got behind her and caught her, stopping her. He looked at the slowly disappearing figure of Alex. The tears still streamed down his cheeks, and he didn't bother to try and wipe them because more would come anyways. Silver silently walked to a corner of the roof and sat, crying over the ledge, back turned to everyone. He didn't know wether he wanted to be alone, wether he wanted company, or wether he wanted to shrivel up and die. He saw Rikkilyn as his sister, automatically feeling a connection to her. She picked Alex over them, and Alex just abandoned her. Silver's glowing bright blue tears dripped dow the building to the street. He unwrapped his hands and wrists. He looked at his still-bloody wrists, his barely-healing knuckles that still looked destroyed. He swung his fists at the stone rooftops, spattering blood from his wrists, reopening what was left of his knuckles. He didn't care anymore. Life was falling apart. He wanted to scream, but had no voice. His whole body trembled. It began to rain in a downpour. Lightning. It was a storm. But Silver didn't care. He was far too damaged to care. He sat as he cried, watching his hands and wrists bleed, wondering how long he would bleed until it killed him...

Alex flew desperately through the air. He finally sheathed back the Adamanta. He was saddened deeply by what he had done, but it had to be done. It would be better for her and for him. Alex had seen her behavior while growing up She was rash, impatient, and sometimes heartless. And although this was usually the way there, it didn't have to be now. Alex cared about her, and he doesn't want her to be like that, especially if after this war is over, and the dark angels lose. With the angels, he saw a way out. While eating with them earlier, he had discovered a little bit about them, and about what they were trying to accomplish. He knew at that point that if Rikki were to join them, and their vision were to become a reality, it would be a better life. He knew that ever since she had gotten to the human world, she had acted differently, from hugging him, to recruiting a human to help them, and even to the point where she didn't go straight after Angel and kill her for leaving. With the angels, Rikki had a chance to be something more.

Alex sighed. He felt her trying to contact him, and he couldn't block it out.

Get out of my head damn it! Alex thought, but she continued to probe, ...Go with them. Leave me alone! Still, she tried. He sighed heavily, and thought. No matter what happens, you will always be my friend. No matter what.

Rikki heard him and gulped. She continued her breathing, knowing she'd probably be doing it for a while.

Okay Alex. I'm going with them. But you can still talk to me! I mean. . is there something wrong? Are you having a problem? Are you mad that I kissed you? I don't understand!!

She pulled her head up to look at the sky above her. She wiped her tears, sighing. Even if he didn't want to stay, why wouldn't he talk to her? She was doing what he wanted, she was staying with the Angels. So why was he acting like he didn't want anything to do with her?

Alex flew down and touched the ground. He was satisfied with the distance he made and decided to walk from there. His wings sunk into his skin, and he walked casually, as Rikki once again communicated with him. He knew he wouldn't be able to avoid it much longer. In reality, he was scared that by continuing to talk with her now, he wouldn't be able to do what he had to do later. In the long run, both the angels' group and Alex were now looking for the heir, but there motivations are different. If they ran into each other again, they probably won't run in as allies. Alex sighed.

He thought, I'm not mad at you for that, but I can't talk to you anymore. We aren't allies anymore. We have our own paths to take. You must take yours, and I must take mine. I pray that we don't run into each other again while we search individually.

Rikki nodded her head, even though it was more to herself.

If that's what you want Alex. . . . then okay. But. . . can I talk to you every once in a while. Just to.. . you know. . check on you. I. . I can't lose you Alex, not completely.

Rikki continued staring up, not really wanting to look at the others right now.

And I hope we don't run into each other either. Cuz . . . you know if we have to fight. . . I won't fight you. Sure, we trained together . . .but I couldn't intentionally hurt you. . . . . . . One last thing. . . are we gonna be able to hang out again? I mean . . . *sigh* . . . you know what I mean Alex. Just answer me that, and I'll stop talking to you.

Alex took out his guitar as he continued to walk the streets, hoping she wouldn't ask anymore questions, but she did. Alex was hurting inside, but he couldn't do anything about it. This is how it had to be, even though it wasn't how he wanted it to be.

Rikki...he thought, unsure of how to respond. She didn't understand. But he didn't have the heart to make her understand. He felt he put her through enough. He looked at his blade and sighed. He didn't have it in him to talk to her anymore. He decided to stay silent. Goodbye, was the last thought he sent to her.

Alex smiled a bit and looked at his sword. "Well, Adamanta, it's just you and me now." He paused, and added, "...and I really hope it stays that way."

He hoped he could go through the rest of the mission not running into Rikki or the angels, but it was almost unavoidable if they are looking for the heir as well. Alex knew he would fight them if they met on such terms, and they most likely will. Alex walked down the street with his guitar and played it, burying his sadness and trying to forget about what happened.

(OOC Last post for me, good night all. :) )

Silver felt the storm instantly soak him, his clothes. He felt his flames die out. His confidence extinguished. His hope drowned. His will put out. He gave up.

He sniffled as he cried. He unwrapped his hands and dropped the bloody bandages over the edge, watching them sink down to the street and flatten on the pavement. His blood followed, seeping from his wounds. If he died from blood loss, good. He was tired of suffering, of seeing people suffer. His hands, soaked in blood, dripping, shaking quickly and spastically as blood just poured from them.

Why go on? I should just die right here... They could all complete it without me. I'm useless. I couldn't stop Alex, I couldn't stop Rikkilyn from getting hurt... I'm a failure...

Silver watched his blood form a large puddle on the street. It wouldn't be too long now...

~~~~~
Gold felt furious tears in his eyes, but didn't act. He got up and led Angel inside so they would not get drenched by the rain. Gold urged miley in too. He glanced at Silver, who still sat alone, on the roof corner. Then he looked at Rikki.
"It's pouring out, you should come in..."
He walked back in. He wouldn't even try telling Silver to come in, he knows he wouldn't.
Rikki didn't even look up when Gold spoke to her. She was crying again, and she wasn't stopping it. The rain was washing it down any way, so why try to stop it? She looked over at Silver and sighed. After tonight, she wouldn't cry anymore. Tomorrow, she'd be herself again, she wouldn't let her emotions get the best of her again.
She smiled a little, but she didn't mean it, she couldn't. She walked over to Silver, sitting beside him. She was silent for a few minutes, just letting the rain continue to wash down her tears. Then she looked over at him, and she put her hand on top of Silver's.
"C'mon, let's go inside." she moved her other hand up, moving the rain. The spot on top of them was no longer raining, the rain was being pushed off onto the side. "Silver, we'll get sick if we stay out here. C'mon."
Silver shook his head. He didn't want to move. He didn't want to do anything anymore. Sickness changed nothing. His amethyst eyes were dark and emotionless, his face made no expression. The only visible emotion was pain, sadness, shown in his tears. He stared down at his hands, his awful hands. The knuckles were completely destroyed, it looked like they may never heal completely. His wrists continued to bleed, from the blade-made cuts, self-inflicted. Silver closed his blank eyes and the glowing blue tears rushed out even faster. What was the point anymore...?
Rikki squeezed his hand. She'd seen enough sadness for one night.
"Please Silver. I'm sure everyone is worried about you. C'mon Silver, I can argue with you all night." she squeezed his hand again. "You're worrying me a little."
She sighed. She wasn't letting anything else go wrong tonight. Her eyes stung, and she had a headache. As sad as she was, she knew in the morning that would be replaced with anger. That was how she dealt with emotions, she turned them to anger. It was the only way she could handle.
"Silver." she muttered, she wasn't going to give up. He was going inside if she had to drag him.
Silver still refused. His voice had evaporated, so he couldn't argue.
There's no point in trying... I couldn't stop Alex, I couldn't prevent my friends from being hurt, I'm worthless, I have no family, I killed my own mother!! I'm destitude... My death would have no significance, and maybe it would be better that way...
He swung his fist down, causing blood to splatter on the concrete, and fall below.
I'm done... I can't stand seeing anyone get hurt when I could've done something to stop it...
Silver cried even harder, not moving from his spot. He looked down at his wrists, pretty much watching them bleed, waiting for himself to lose too much blood and just die already. The storm made his hair seem a bit longer, messily hanging down, soaked.
Rikki grabbed both of his hands, glaring at him, which caused the water to start pouring again. "Stop that." she hissed. "This is not your fault. It's mine. I'm the one who should be acting like a depressed little kid. But I'm not. None of this is your fault. Understood. Alex is-" she had to stop. Her voice broke and tears started coming down again.
She looked at Silver's wrists and shook her head. She rubbed her fingers on his wrist, wiping at the blood. "If you stay out here, then I'm gonna stay with you okay?" she asked. She felt like she had to help him. She wanted to help him. She was hurting enough as it was, she didn't want anyone else to be as well. "Please coming inside with me Silver."
Silver was miserable. He didn't dare go inside and depress others, it was bad enough that Rikkilyn had noticed him. He cringed as she wiped the blood from his wrists, rebealing the deep cuts he had brought on himself. He cried more. She said that if he stayed out here, she would too. But he did not want to make others feel bad when they saw him. He winced at the rainfall. He was fire. He hated water. But he was too down to care. He cried immensely, then suddenly tuned and hugged her tightly, crying over her shoulder in deep misery...
Rikki stiffed at first when he hugged her. It took her a minute, but she returned the hug, any anger that had seeped in fading. She didn't feel like being angry. She didn't feel like crying. She didn't feel like feeling anything. But her sadness stayed. As much as she tried to push it away, it kept coming back.
"Oh, Silver." she said softly, feeling slightly bad for him. "It's okay. We're all gonna be okay. Please, let's go inside and get you cleaned up."
Silver sniffled as tears dripped from his cheeks, his hair covering his eyes and the top half of his face. He gave in and followed her.
Rikkilyn... Is my sister...
He sent, silently. He did consider her a sister. As they walked in he sat an the bathroom counter, watching her find things, trying to fix him up.
Rikki smiled a little as she roamed around the bathroom. She sat a few things on the counter. She'd had to clean enough of her own wounds over the past years that she figured it couldn't be that hard to help Silver. She looked at him.
"You're soaked." she laughed and raised her hand. She clenched her fist a little, drying the water. She had learned how to boil the water to dry, and not cause any pain. She put her hands down and smiled again. "There."
She grabbed one of his arms and looked at his wrist. Her smile faded, and she rubbed her finger on his wrist again. "I'm not gonna asked what happened, because I think I have a pretty good idea, considering I read your mind a couple of times." she leaned down so she was eye level with him. "If I ever see you do anything like this, I'm going to smack you." she said and reached over to grab an alcohol swab.
"I'm gonna apologize now if this hurts." she said and wiped the swab across his wrist. She could see the mark and bit down on her lip. After she finished with the swab, she grabbed a hand towel, and dabbed the wound. Then she grabbed some gauze. "I'm gonna wrap this up, okay?" she said, while wrapping it. Then she repeated this for the other wrist.
She stood up straight and crossed her arms. "Much better! Anything else that needs fixing Silver?" she asked, then she added, "And I think of you as my brother too."
(Fearless Love... Is my sister...? :D )
Silver watched quietly as she started tending to him. She frowned at his wrists, and she seemed to immediately know what he did. She threatened to smack him, which would probably just make things worse if he did it again. His eyes softened, because even when she threatened him, or got angry with him, he could tell she cared. She agreed to what he sent earlier, and she considered him a brother. He smiled, just a tiny, tiny bit. He brushed the hair away from the left of his face over to the right, where his hair usually is. He looked down at his wrapped hands and wrists. He did something she had yet to see. He took his wolf-form, with white fur, and the same amethyst eyes. He nuzzled his head against her leg.
(OOC: I guess so. :) )
Rikki's face showed her surprise for a moment. Then she just smiled and bent down, rubbing her hand against his head.
"Well, isn't that cool." she said, and plopped down on the floor, leaning against the counter. She'd had a long day, and despite how tired she was, she knew she wouldn't sleep. She knew she didn't want to go to sleep right now. She leaned her head back, letting it hit the counter, staring at the ceiling. She felt her eyes start to sting again, so she wiped them again, sniffling. She looked at Silver again and smiled.
(Yay!!! Now I gots a pair and a brother and a sister! :D )
Silver saw her insomnia and padded out to the mini fridge, digging through it and pulling out a milk carton. He placed it on the floor. He trotted back to the bathroom and made her get up and lay on a bed. He went back and grabbed the milk carton, heating it with blue fire. He placed in on her nightstand. Warm milk always induces sleep. He hopped up and layed down on her, curling into a ball. The others were already asleep. He curled up, feeling exhausted himself, and drifted to sleep in Rikkilyn's lap.
