Rules/Guidelines/-ish

- The roleplay is rated PG-13. No unnecessary gore. No suggestive themes.

- If you want in, submit a Sign Up in this thread and wait for me to either accept or deny you. We will then start playing when I've posted Day 1.

- I will post the start of every new day, in game (not IRL :p) and you will play out the events of your character during that day. Be reasonable, you can only do so much in one day. Interact with the other players, this should not be an RP where you write your own chapter posts all the time and never meet the others. But one or two paragraphs per post is absolute minimum.

- At the end of every day, everyone will get a level, and you will get additional levels if you did a lot that day or wrote very fun/good posts.

- I will play the legendary pokémon, a few humans, as well as my own character. You will play your character and any NPC humans or pokémon you choose to throw into the game. You decide for yourself what wild pokémon it would be reasonable to encounter in each place. The gym leaders are the usual ones (HG/SS) and can be controlled by you like any NPCs.

- We are starting in the Johto region (more specifically, in the forest near the sea, to the south of New Bark town) in the normal game universe. No Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world here. Oh, and there is no Team Rocket.

- Check this map for help to visualize the Johto we are playing in, although we don't have to follow the exact routes. Yes, we can go to Kanto as well.

- You are allowed 6 moves at the same time. Since you are level 10 at the start you will at first only know moves you learn until then. As the game goes on, you will grow in levels and learn new moves, but you must then forget an old one. You will be allowed to learn TM/egg/tutor/whatever moves as well.

- Evolution comes with levels in most cases, and if it doesn't, we'll discuss it.

- No powermodding. When throwing an attack at someone who isn't an NPC, you will let that person determine the reaction.

- Slight bunnying might be allowed... but ONLY when it comes to TIME PASSING. For example, we can't stand in a clearing talking forever, soon we'll have to go somewhere and if one of us takes an initiative and writes that some hours has passed, then so be it. Just be careful so you're not jumping in time when someone would have wanted to act somehow. If you're unsure, ask the other players in the OOC thread (up soon).

Name: Andrea Lewis

History: Andi's life has been hectic since the day she was born. Her parents divorced only a few months prior to her birth, and due to that, she was constantly being bounced back and forth between the two of them. From the time she was four, she would spend most of the year in Goldenrod City, where her mother lived - but during the summer she would be sent to live with her father in Slateport City. This was the time of year that Andi always loved the most: the ocean was her calling. While there, she would spend nearly the entire time down at the beach, either swimming or lying on the sand with her pokemon. The locals all came to know her well, and they would laugh when they saw her - "Look at that girl go," they'd say, "she'd be better off as a fish." Andi probably would have agreed, if she'd ever heard them talking. When she was twelve, she began her journey as a pokemon trainer in the Hoenn region. It went against both of her parents wishes, but Andi never was one to be bossed around. Resigned, her parents each gave her a pokemon (a Squirtle and a Marrill, respectively), and she set off alone. Since then, she's been wandering around, catching pokemon and collecting badges. She's got four at the moment, but after this whole deal with Darkrai, who knows if she'll ever make it back to collect the rest ...
Personality: Bossy as heck. Andi likes to be in charge, and no one can tell her what to do - ever. This often causes her to clash with other people, and due to that, she tends to be a bit of a loner. Still, Andi usually means well - she just has a hard time articulating it properly. Because if there's one thing that she is even worse about than being bossy, it's being stubborn. Yeah, not a good combination. Despite this, Andi actually tends to be a bit more on the motherly side, even if she won't admit it. As an only child, she's always wanted to be an older sister - something that's never happened because of her parents divorce. She's quite insecure about herself - a fact that she'll never admit - and due to that, she tends to try and hide it behind a mask of toughness.
Likes: Swimming, Pokemon, loud music, summertime, sleeping in, ice cream, running, doing whatever she wants.
Dislikes: Cold weather, annoying people, being bored, being told what to do, reading, spicy foods.

when she was younger, noah always liked to go grocery shopping with her parents. it was something about the stark whiteness of the interiors, the way that everything seemed so shiny and new - she loved it. well, she had"you never miss what you have until it's gone" - only in noah's case, she only missed what she had once she had gotten too much of it. of course, she had never lost her love of food. noah wasn't shy about it at all - she loved to cook, and she was good at it. though she hated to say it, noah wasn't great at a lot of things; playing guitar and cooking were about the extent her talents, at least as far as she was concerned. despite the fact that her apartment usually lacked in the ingredients department, when noah actually had a fully-stocked fridge, she liked to have friends over for dinner. of course, that was a bit of a rare occasion, since most of the time, it wasn't like she could actually be bothered to cook - but still, she could if she wanted to, and that was all that really mattered. in fact, she wondered about maybe inviting a few people over tonight; after all, she was here at the store, right? so it wasn't like she didn't have all the proper ingredients, and even if she didn't, she could always just buy them on her way out or something. but then she glanced over at the frozen lasagna and changed her mind.

well, there was always tomorrow, right? besides, she was sure all her friends must be busy or something, what with such short notice and all. at the moment, all noah really wanted to do was go home, eat some lasagna, and watch a scary movie. maybe if she felt brave enough for it, she could even call kota and see if he wanted to join her.

it didn't seem like the guy she had been talking to had even noticed her for a second, considering that he had only turned to look at her once she had gotten towards the end of her little speech. "do you like ravioli or tortellini better?" he asked "um, ravioli, i guess," noah blurted out, slightly taken aback by the random question. did he even hear anything she just said? he seemed awfully hung up on the pasta, for some reason. noah quickly glanced around the aisle - maybe if he wouldn't help her, there would be someone else around. either that, or noah would just have to go home without dinner - actually, she would still have dinner, but it would take a lot more effort. and she wasn't willing to put in that effort.

luckily, it was at that moment that the guy seemed to realize that noah had actually asked him a question. he shook his head, apologizing. "sorry, totally off in my own thoughts." he said. "yeah, i could tell," noah replied, though she said it in a jokey manner rather than a rude one. after all, she had just asked a random stranger for help - she couldn't exactly blame him for not paying attention. he got down the boxes of lasagna for her. the guy wasn't exactly tall, so it did seem to take a bit of effort, but it was far better than noah could do, considering that she was a good three or four inches shorter than him. "you know, this might be a first. i'm not exactly a giant here, so it's not that often that i'm asked to get something high up." he said in a friendly way. "at least you can reach it,""i think these stores must have something against short people. i mean, who puts stuff up that high, unless they just like the see us struggle?" she asked, putting the lasagna in her shopping basket. "and thanks, by the way. i know you were trying to decide on a pasta." she added. just then, it seemed like a lightbulb went off in his head, "oh! i'll just get lasagna! that's solved my problems." he said, thinking out loud. he reached up to get two more boxes and threw them into his cart. "oh, well - glad i could help," noah said with a slight chuckle. he seemed to be somewhat absent-minded. "oh hey, did you need anything else?" he asked after retrieving the boxes for himself. "oh, um, no. but thanks for helping me!" noah said brightly. then, as an afterthought, she added, "oh, except, one more thing - this might sound a little weird, so bear with me here, but do i know you? you seem kind of familiar, for some reason," she said, "you know, in a city like new york, it's not like you really run into too many familiar faces, so... yeah. i just thought i might... know you from somewhere. " she finished lamely, nearly wanting to stereotypically smack her palm against her forehead. she probably just made herself sound like a complete 'tard - but then again, it was noah. what else was new?

You are accepted, but I'd prefer if you used a more readable font in your posts here (the standard one, perhaps?), as this one makes me have to squint my eyes :p Also, a good thing for readability is to hit ENTER twice whenever a character is saying something. I don't always do it, but it helps a lot when you want to write a pleasant-to-read post :3 I like Andrea's personality!
