    I wanted to start a Darkurai Club, so . . .
Darkurai is my favorite Pokemon and if you like it as well you can join and post here and maybe you want say what you like about the pokemon.

You spelt the Pokemon's name wrongly. It's "Darkrai" not "Darkurai".

And I'd like to join as well.

You're not the only persons that don't like me romanizing the pokemon names.
It's not Darkrai, but I cannot blame you if you don't japanese. Rai means thunder, it's supposed to be kurai wich means dark.

Darkurai(Daakurai); it's a mix of the eng word Dark and jp word Kurai. (There is only one 'k' or one kana for 'ku', but else it's the word dark(daaku) and kurai)

I will say Daakurai from now on if that's better. I just wanted to make it easier for people to understand, especially for those that don't know about the japanese pronounciation.

Ah....I see. Well, usually most people just name their fanclubs with the English pronunciation of their names, as most of us here are more familiar with the English names.

If Darkrai is an english name I would like to know what it means. I know the japanese names always has a meaning, but I'm not sure if all the english ones do. I like the meaning of Daakurai's name and I like that it's a mix of english and japanese. The Japanese can accept english into their names and like to mix them, but I don't understand what the Americans have against japanese words in the names. I was shocked when I discovered they had left the name Pachirisu unchanged; that's not what I expected.

Chill, dude, It's not like I'm saying the Jap names suck or something. I'm not American, and as far as I know, none of us here were part of the American dubbing crew who were incharge with the name changes, so it's not like we had much of a choice other than to accept the new names.

"Daakurai" was left virtually unchanged in dubbing, "Darkrai" is just the way you pronounce it in English.

No, it's not your or anyone else here fault about the names. It's just the Pokemon company in America and 4kids(I hate them) that causes this mess. I've heard they pronounced the name Jirachi wrong in the dubbed anime.

Indeed, 4Kids does suck, but it's not like we can do anything about it. And aren't we getting juat a little offtopic here? I was under the impression this was a Darkrai/Daakurai fanclub, not a 4Kids Hate Group (though if it exists, I'd love to join it XD)

Yes, you're right. And I should start a Anti-4kids Club. Or join on if it exists.
So how did Daakurai become you fav Pokemon?

I dunno....somehow a Pokemon that enters into peoples dreams, casts malevolent dreams over them and can take human form just seems cool.

Yeah, I think so too. At Bulbapedia they said Daakurai is the Pokemon version of Freddy Kreuger.
Anyway, Daakurai is my first and only favorite Pokemon. Before there wasn't any Pokemon I really liked as a favorite. Bashaamo looks cool, but is not enough. Mew is mysterious, but no . . . and I like Mewtwo only because of the movie (which is my fav movie). I would like to see the 10th movie. It's about Daakurai.

Yea, me too. Has anybody here accually seen the movie? I'd like to know when they're releasing the English version (or if those pirates are gonna sub it XD)

Japan gets EVERYTHING Pokemon before America. And I'd like to join too.

They get ALL the glitches. All the fun.

Thats 'cause most glitches are found before the Japanese version was translated. If only whoever who found out the E4 glitch din't post it out till the English version of the game was released. Then we'd all be having a Darkrai by now...
