    Ive spent about 2 hours working on this and seeing as its my first scratch I think I did pretty well,
    But I need more than my opinion what do you guys think?

    Very nice, you should do the Pikachu Head Balloon too
     
    XD...your from UK like me?, well its much improved but i'd lighten the bottom bit, aka where Jessie James and Meowth are ^_^
     
    I could do it if you like, i mean get the color scheme for it ^_~

    Oh well i just screenshotted the Pikachu Balloon straight from the Mewtwo Returns film, the Pikachu thing is a lil meh, they had a reddish basket, and the circlar bit at bottom of both Balloons is a little brighter, and you forgot the Paw and Tail on the Meowth Balloon, all i'm saying is you should lighten is so you can tell where the OW's would stand ^_^

    3DMM's crazy gradient shading does not resemble what shading should actually look like. Try to get the whole concept out of your head, Dash.
     
    I think that was a little over the top Allstories, with how big the Balloon is and taking into consideration its his first scratch its good shading.
     
    I agree with TBH. Since it is his first, its actually pretty good. No need in criticising all the way when its their first time. =/
     
    The second repost of the Meowth head has much more shading and is much more professional :) I love it! It's very hard to draw in that angle, and you did a very good job! =3

    Oi, that was uncalled for, atleast take his comment into some level of comprehension. As the Pixel Art rules say, don't react harshly to someone's commenting. Yes, that counts as harsh aswell as needless. Refrain from doing it again.

    I like gradient shading. It's my favourite kind :p.
    And at everyone else thanks for your comments XD
    It makes it feel worth while so I guess I am going to attempt the Pikachu head balloon now.
    With any luck you will see it later tonight.

    The fact that it was his first scratch doesn't give an excuse to slack off with the shading <.< Anyone who has been working on sprites (whether it's fusions, recolours or anything) should be able to come up with a light source and shade according to that source.

    Anyways, I think you did a quite nice job with the outline for that balloon, however, the shading and outline colouring are lacking. Not only did you leave the head completely shadingless and only shaded the ears, but you also used a gradient shading style, which looks horrible.
    Other than that: the eyes could use some shine and try adding some different shades on the outline. And please shade the head, it doesn't matter which style you use (though I strongly suggest you refrain from using the gradient style), but you need to shade it.

    *edit* Oops, I misread what you said. I mixed up ''here'' and ''there'', and I can't say what the people on a board I have never visited do, so...
     
    Well if its Serebii, then yeah i know how they are, but even still if he likes to shade that way let him, i personally like it so yeah. Anyway enough spamming, keep on topic.
