XD I noticed you're one post away from 4000.

IMO, she shouldn't quit at this point. I know she's only got one ribbon, but it's only early on. She seriously needs to work on her appeals though. Her appeals were quite good early on, but as of now, she doesn't practice her appeals much, and really should be focused on. She's a decent battler all right, but if she doesn't get past the appeal round, she'll never be in the battle round.

I'm quite suprised at that, It seems weird that at this point May was doing better and she haddn't come from a family on contest winners.

I hope they don't do it so she wins like her last 3-4 contests so she has enough ribbons because that would really un-interesting.

May was criticised for going through Contests too easily. I mean, she won more Contests than Dawn did, and in less time too. They're finally coming through with the rookie Coordinator role Dawn currently holds. What sets Dawn apart from May is the fact that she bounces back from set-backs really quickly, and is therefore less likely to dwell on her losses for very long. That could work in her favour. In fact, I forsee Dawn winning her next Contest.

Aipom was already trained to be a very adept battler by Ash. If she had stayed with Ash, she would've evolved all the same. It was just a matter of whether she had learned the attack Double Hit or not. She did in DP 60, which triggered her evolution.

Hikari shouldn't give up. So what she lost a couple of contests big deal. I know she'll be able to bounce back.

Hikari should not quit. As with everything, it never goes as smooth as she may have hoped. Nozomi pointed out the flaws Hikari made and she needs to learn from her mistakes.

Well I don't think Dawn should quit. I mean it is really good that she keeps on going. I say that her next contest she will really be good.

Still somebody mention something about how her appeal battles are really good but here is something I just wonder. Back towards the end of Battle Frounter, May had the issue of copying Ash in battling style and seeing this comment about Dawn, do you think she is doing the same thing as in copying Ash's battle style? Which is leading to lackluster First Appeals? Kind something to think about.

Also knowing the writers, they will add more contests if needed to let Dawn be in the Grand Festivial.

I think is the other way around satoshi has gotten a lot of new techniques by seeing how Hikari fights and by watching contests. Hikari lost this contest because she focused in the attack of her pokemon instead on how the pokemon looked when she was using that move. Nozomi said "Your attack is pretty but where is your pokemon?" Its a rough translation but that is the idead.

Oh. I wasn't sure about. I only saw the pics so I don't get to hear what is said. Teeheehee Kinda waiting on the dub. I was only going by what it said here. Still that does make sense.

Actually, that was the most notable flaw in her appeal. The point of an appeal is to show off a Pokémon's moves and use them to make a Pokémon look good. What Hikari did was that she overdid the Swift, obscuring Eteboth from view and thus actually failing, and not succeeding in her appeal. I would've stopped halfway through if I were her. Besides, didn't the Focus Punch and Swift combo work earlier in DP 60? Why did she change the routine then? This may have cost her.

At least now she knows what she must work on. I am sure she'll win the next contest. On a side note, Nozomi is such a good friend to Hikari she is always helping her along the way, I really admire her, even though Hikari is her rival she gives her useful hints on what she needs to work on and how to cope with difficult situations.

Well not just that, she ONLY used one move. I mean she has to showcase her pokemon not just by using one attack but attacks. She used Double Hit once then over did it with the stars. There was no real combo.

I don't agree that she used one move only. But I agree that she didn't combine more moves together to really show off the attacks.

She used Double Hit prior to the extreme Swift-spammage.

...So basically you reinterated what I just said and said you aree yet disagree with it...?

Anyway, she does need to work on her appeals.
