So it's been a tradition that each female lead has reappeared for at least two episodes after their farewell, barring Iris but it's too soon to determine if she will or will not appear. Dawn was reunited with Ash for eight episodes when Ash and friends visited Undella Town with Cynthia. Notable things she did was participate in the Pokémon World Tournament and battling Ash.

What did you think of her reappearance? Were you satisfied with what she did? What other things would you have liked her to see? Do you wish she would have stayed for a longer or shorter time? How do you think she could have played a role in the conclusion of the Meloetta arc? Did you prefer that she not make a reappearance? Just some food for thought :P

I didn't know about this, would you please let me know when does exactly (episode numbers) she appear? I'd like to take a look by myself.

I believe Dawn first reappears during the very end of BW085, All for the Love of Meloetta! She remains for eight whole episodes later and leaves at the end BW093, Goodbye, Junior Cup - Hello Adventure!

Dawn's return could have been done better. The tournament had her lose early to Iris' Dragonite and it felt like she didn't accomplish anything. I also find it odd she's the only past female to come back without a new outfit, or without any new evolutions or pokemon at all since we last saw her.

I liked her interactions with Iris/Cilan but it largely felt like the writers didn't really know what to do with her cameo since Contests were gone and there wasn't anything for her to really do.

If I'm not mistaken, her Cyndaquil evolved into Quilava.

I didn't even need to see it (couldn't anyways as I no longer have Cartoon Network at the time, and that's not even getting into the boycott) to know her reappearance was pointless.

Honestly, Unova doesn't even HAVE Pokémon Contests, either in the games or especially the anime (technically, Kanto didn't have contests that the player can participate in in the games, but Daisy was implied to partake in them in Kanto, and the anime did insert some for Kanto, largely because they moved the Battle Frontier to that area when it was closer to Hoenn in Emerald), so she really had no business in Unova to begin with. Why did they even need to bring her back? Honestly, they could have brought Misty or... heck, even May back for that Pokémon World Conference from B2W2 (or at least, they might have, if those idiot writers didn't skip it over despite it actually being something from B2W2 and thus advert potential as well as a way to truly grant closure to Misty at the very least), at least THAT would have given them a purpose since they were either gym leaders themselves or otherwise relatives to gym leaders (technically both in Misty's case). Seriously, in order for her to go to Unova, she had to interrupt her journey (either leave mid-Hoenn, or otherwise not go to Kanto/Johto for whatever reason). There's no point to Dawn's reappearance in Unova at all. What, does Ash interrupt his own goal mid-region just to revisit friends and family?

Honestly, Misty was forced out of her goal by her sisters, so her going to Hoenn didn't really negatively impact her goal at all. Heck, even May's return in DP as much as I wish it never happened at least directly related to her Coordinator goal in Johto. Dawn didn't have any of that.

I think that Dawn's could have been WAY better. It's not that it wasn't good, but I'm just saying that it could've been way better. I actually want to see Ash reuniting with Iris, that would be some bit of fun.
