Guys I just want to start out by saying that this has been a great year, I know I've had my ups and downs on PC in both activity and attitude but a lot of that was due to life being a bit of a see-saw in terms of events and emotions. PC has been a great outlet to relax at and I'm glad that I found it. Buut hell, in a year, I've changed the way I present myself a lot on a forum and that is all down to my activity on PC. There's a few guys who've been the reason as to why I stayed at PC, unfortunately I don't talk to most of them bar one, but they're the ones who made PC what it was for me and the first group of friends to accept me and when it comes to how much I enjoy PC now, well, I owe them a thanks, they know who they are, whether they take heed of what I say or not. But in any case, let's get to the replies... Also my initial reaction was:
Abnegation [ab-ne-ga-tion] to refute or to deny.
Abnegation here at PC, who most of us know as Gavin (or Gav for short) has actually made his stay here at PokéCommunity for one year today. I know I was going to do this earlier today, but er, I forgot. ;o;
ANWAY ... The point being, Gavin's one year anniversary is today and within just one year he has been known by a lot. For some he's been known as the greatest friend ever, for others he's been known as a total jerk. :\ He's had an up and down first year, but he still stuck around. A lot of us love him, and you should too (but we won't force you). He's been a great attribute to the forums with his known CSS skills and his developing graphics skills. He's known for his great personality and he's known for his looks - if any of you have seen him. :3 So, here's to his first year and hoping he'll be around for many more.
Oh and Gavin, you Better be around for many more year. >:| ...And I hoped you liked your lengthy thread, I didn't know what to say, so I just came up with something. =P

Shiv, I really must thank you for making the thread but... I can't thank you enough for the words that followed. That was extremely sweet and just perfect. You say you weren't sure what to say yet it seems like you picked the perfect words. You've been my friend for a few months now yet it feels like I've known you for years. I've even told you extremely personal stuff that very few know about IRL nevermind on PC because I know you're a nice guy and that I can trust you.
I'm not great with replies, especially when no reply in the world could match what you've said, just know you're like a bro to me and you'll always be my friend no matter how long I stick around. Beads for life bby.

Dude, you're amazing. Congratulations on making it; one year is a long time. Not only are you an extremely talented CSS stylist, but your Graphic Desiging skills are also above average. I haven't been checking out your ROM Hack, to be honest, but I'm sure that it's bloody great as well. When you first came here, everyone already wanted you. From your rapid rise to fame over Pokecommunity, or your constant flirting in real life, it seemed like it was a breeze to you. Perhaps it was, or you probably struggled; however, you still put a reassuring smile on your posts and moved on.
Yeah, I know that life constantly put you down a lot of times, but I'm more proud that you were able to stood back up each and every moment you fell. From the past to the present, you were in a lot of drama. Gavin, I hope that your future will be less dramatic.
At first, I didn't think that I would get to talk to you. We should thank Sam for starting our friendship. If it wasn't for him, I would've never dared myself to post on your profile. To be honest with you, I first thought of you as intimidating. However, as soon as we first began chatting, it came clear to me that you're just like anyone else. We all go to the same problems and I finally came to realize that. Ever since, it's been coolio.

We didn't like each other one bit when you first started going here, yet everyone ~loved~ you. This eventually led to a fight in TCTI but oh well we got over it. But nowadays, I can safely say you're a friend. You're an absolute riot when drunk, especially on Skype. So yeah, happy anniversary Gavin!

Honestly, my reaction to this was "Wait.. only one year?" xD;
Reason being is the fact that it seems like you've been around here longer than that. Feels like you've been friends with some of us for a lot longer than one year, somehow. Maybe two years, or I wouldn't be surprised if it were three, even. xD Probably because of that fact that you got well known so fast, and for a lot people, getting known at all could take years.
I also remember that you left at one point, but I'm glad you came back, and hopefully you'll stick around.

Time for something tl;dr :D
Soo if I remember correctly, we met late last year, when a certain Jesh decided to add you into a conversation her &I were having, and then left it. Leaving you & I to have somewhat of a chat in there I suppose, but it wasn't at that point that we hit it off. The time of our love came in November, when I was touring around the United Kingdom with my family watching the Wallabies games for my Dad's 50th. I had 'in ireland' as my msn status or something like that, and you mentioned that you lived in ireland and so we started talking a bit more, I was probably too excited at the thought of new fall out boy songs on their Greatest Hits to talk too much at that time but we became closer none the less.
I regret not meeting you when I was over there, even though we weren't nearly as close as we are now back then.
I thought we were getting along quite well, and then you asked to put me in your signature, and I got a whole [title] word to myself, which to me semed a bit rushed as we had done relatively little talking to the amount I'd assumed you had done with the other people with words in your signature, but I knew that had us set up for an amazing friendship at that point.
Then we got to talking more this year, and we talked on weekends for many weeks as it was the only time we could manage to be on, with our timezones almost opposite, your mornings & my nights became more & more fun [vice-versa may also be accepted].
Then you said that we should pair, and I jumped on board right away, because same-sex pairings on pc are so greatly accepted, I knew ours would be awesome. [And with the somewhat expected inclusion of Borey whilst I ws on holidays, it just keeps getting better xD].
Of course recently we got to using Skype and things just keep getting better, but you do need to get a straight head before the next time we're on it.
'Grats on one hell of a year Gavin, I can't say you'll ever be as popular as you were [unless you become a staff member], but we'll always be friends regardless of what happens.
