I have a three suggestions which I would really love to have implemented, and I decided to put all three suggestions in one thread. And here are the listed suggestions, along with each of their reasons:

    1. Delete thread: Title says it all. How come we can't delete threads when we can delete posts? Say someone makes some sort of mistake with his thread and he wants to delete it and the local forum Moderator(s) is offline... what to do then?

    2. Add poll: Yes, I know you can add a poll when creating a new thread. But how come you can't add a poll when just editing it (once you've already posted it)? What if someone makes a mistake and forgot to add a poll to his/her thread and obviously, given the situation stated in number 1, he can't delete it, what should he/she do?

    3. Quotation notifications: It's really annoying when someone quotes you in order to address you or notify me that he is talking to me and I don't notice it. What if it's something really important like matters concerning life and death?

So those are basically my three most-wanted-badly suggestions currently, and I hope you get my point here... anyway, I'll stop talking here now... and thanks for taking your time to read all this stuff XD

    Happy New Year! :)

If you allow members to delete threads they can just delete them whenever they'd like, which could be bad for popular threads/important threads/etc and discussion threads in general. However as for us staff, we're expected to not do such things and there's consequences if we do.

You can add a poll through "thread tools" in the dropdown menu at the top of your thread whenever you want. :)

I agree with the last option, however, which has been mentioned here a lot.

How do you mean, "if someone makes some sort of mistake" with a thread? You can just use the edit button to fix it. But if for some reason it -really- needs deleting then you can just report your own thread. Forum moderators are pretty active and sign in regularly, and if they're not online, there's a chance that higher staff will handle your report instead. Also yeah, what Forever said is also true.

Your other two points were already covered. I don't see any harm in a quote notification thing other than idk how well the server would get on with it. We're somewhat stretched as it is.

You PM a Smod. Or an admin. If none of them are around, man, you probably have the worst luck in the universe because there always is one of us around.

Also we don't delete threads unless they are spamming (and the creator wouldn't delete such a thread by himself) or the member accidentally doubleposted it... so it's not that urgent anyway.

    2. Add poll: Yes, I know you can add a poll when creating a new thread. But how come you can't add a poll when just editing it (once you've already posted it)? PM a mod. Or a smod. Or an admin (surprisingly, only admins could do that until not so long ago, now we all can). We are here to help, it's not that much of an effort.

    3. Quotation notifications: It's really annoying when someone quotes you in order to address you or notify me that he is talking to me and I don't notice it. What if it's something really important like matters concerning life and death?
We are currently discussing in in the staff forums and chances are it will be implemented as soon as we figure out some hack/plug-in/whatever to allow for it.

Silly Went, anyone can do this to their own thread. You're thinking of deleting polls.
