Suggestion: Delete unused accounts for better system and search in VM conversations

I think we should be able to request our accounts deleted. As long as they don't have a few thousand posts, obviously, as that'd screw things up.

For example, I have an alt. account, Flare Riqueza, which I used when I couldn't use this one. It doesn't have that many posts, and I'd be happy to have rid of it. I already deleted the e-mail address it signed up with.

It would be better if were able to merge them with our current accounts, but Rukario said he only merged accounts for 'special reasons' and never disclosed what they were.

Edit: Here's the conversation between him and I from ages ago, just to cite my claim.

Fixed.

I think all alts should just be deleted. They serve no purpose other than taking up usernames, really. 8D I bet there are a lot of placeholder accounts from when we changed usernames too.

If changing someones 4 letter name can destroy the sever, I can't imagine what 1000 or so VMs, 5000 posts and everything else suddenly dissappearing would do 0_0

Posts don't disappear when an account is deleted. You're able to view old posts but you can't click on that username (which would normally bring you to the profile) and you can't see any of the usual details like age or location. And posts just turns into n/a as opposed to a number.

I'm listening to Nyan Nyan Service Medley and RIGHT when I got to your post "Kira!" popped up on the song. XD

Anyway, we also don't do account merges. There's a chance that we might have a DB error or something along them lines at the time of the merge and there's a chance both accounts would end up deleted. It's happened before, David being one of them people. He was merging two accounts and we had probs right when he hit the button. When PC came back up his accounts were gone and all of his posts said "guest" where the username should be. His accounts were deleted. So thus why we don't merge accounts.
