Have you ever had a Desptop mate? For example a virtual cat or dog?

I used to have a virtual cat - it did things like walk around the screen, sleep & purr. XD

    Here is an example Felix

Edit: Look at the bottom of the screenshot - he spilled milk & now he is drinking it XD

I remember using Bonzi Buddy about 8 years ago, before we all found out it was spyware. I stayed away from such things from then on, plus nowadays I like my PC to be running as little as possible anyway.

Well the one I have isn't spyware.

I haven't. The closest thing I've had is a clock of Popotan's Mai. Like j_, I prefer my computer not to be running many background programs.

I used to have a Pikachu and a sheep. Being the easily-amused 12-year-old that I was, I loved opening as many of them as I could and just letting them walk around. Then I'd leave them on screen and go do something else and my parents would come back to the computer to a mass of "PIKAAAAA" or "BAAAA". That was awesome. Now I want to find them again wtf.

They'd probably bother me nowadays though. I hate clutter on my computer. :x

the closest thing I've ever used to that were those wierd little Windows dancers that came with XPMCE I used them everyonce in a while but they got boring real quick.

No, I've never had a desktop buddy. I'd probably get one, though, for, like, a day, just for laughs and because I'd think it was fun for a while. Afterwards, though, it'd probably get irritating.

I have a little cat, from the same site as Felix actually. It follows your mouse and stuff. I've used him one... I don't think I still have the program installed, but he was really cute when I used him. XD

I remember having a Snorlax, a Pikachu and a dog one. But it somehow got deleted off of my computer. Since you brung this up, I mindless well download another one off that website
