Desperately Looking For Assistance

    Hey PokeCommunity, I've recently got a Pokemon Fire Red Version ROM, and to my luck I can't seem to save. So I searched on the forums and I couldn't seem to find a solution. I heard all you need to do is set the save type to 128KB on Youtube, but that didn't seem to work. I then heard about some sort of a patch but my search didn't lead to it, but an alternative method. I tried it, and it still doesn't work; That same circuit board message appears. I'm out of options and I don't know what to do. So can someone please help? Or at least point me in the right direction to where I can find this fix?
