    I personally prefer diamond since once you've seen diamond's graphics emerald seems lame :D
    But emerald does have a bunch of legendarys
     
    Emerald > Diamond, in my opinion.

    But Platinum > Emerald, in my opinion.

    Emerald is the third game of the 3rd gen, which was pretty awesome, so it beats one of the first games from the 4th gen in my opinion.

    But seeing as Platinum exists (and the fact that I liked the 4th gen more than the 3rd gen), I think Pt is a bit better than E.
     
    Emerald was my absolute favorite. And it still would have been if would have bought it instead of Diamond >_>

    I've played Emerald a million times, so maybe I just got bored.
     
    Emerald > Diamond for sure!
    Emerald is the only Pokemon game I would ever play all the time, the others made me bored way too easily... though the others are all right...just Emerald wins over all.
     
    How are they being compared?
    Emerald was my first game, but Diamond was so much fun when it came out.

    But I like how Diamond has more pokes. If we are talking about overall then:
    Blue > Everything else.
    Classic. I didn't understand english back when I got blue and by Sabrina's Gym I had a lvl 80 Charizard and lvl 70 Muk.
     
    Emerald has the battle frontier as well as trainer hill, plus it's fun to hack.
    Emerald > Diamond any day

    Diamond's graphics are always blurry around the edge. They didn't fix it for Platinum either.
    Emerald's Battle Frontier is the best. Rayquaza is cool. Milotic is actually hard to get.
    You actually find out what happens to the evil teams (Even if what happens is pretty lame).
    3rd Gen. overall pwns 4th Gen. Although that's coz (although i haven't got them yet, they sound good) i count HeartGold/SoulSilver as 5th Gen. because the graphics are so different.
     
    Ok so how does emerald pwn platinum?
    In my opinion emerald sucks except the legends and battle tower :P
     
    emerald because you get to challenge gym leaders again and it was the first to introduce the battle frontier, plus i spent over 400 hours playiing it 8D
     
    Emerald over Diamond for me. But Platinum beats Emerald ^^
     
    While I really don't see how these two can even be compared in the first place, a quick scan of General Pokemon Gaming shows there isn't even a similar thread to redirect this to. @_@ Regardless, this discussion doesn't really belong here so I'm moving it.
     
    Yeah, this is a bit of an unfair comparison. Oh well. Emerald gets my vote on this. C: It's got the Frontier! Woot!

    Now, if it was Emerald vs. Platinum...
     
    Emerald>Diamond, definitely.


    • You get to take on two evil teams.
    • The Pokemon in the Emerald Dex are better than the ones in the DP Dex (Platinum had a better selection though.) IMO.
    • The Battle Frontier was great, even better than Platinum's.
    • Gym Leader rematches (Double battles!).
    • Geographically, I love the Hoenn region, it's my favorite. I'm not a big fan of Sinnoh though...

    I actually prefer Emerald over Platinum...
     
    I hate the battle frontier for some reason O.o
    It just gets boring after a while
    But I guess Emerald>Diamond

    Emerald had the Battle Dome and that was win. Unless another game has that, it doesn't win to me.

    But sometimes

    Emerald > Firered.
