Emerald was much much better than Diamond, go Battle Dome. But I'd say it would be pretty close if you compared it to Platinum.

Well, I missed the Hoenn games entirely when they came out, and so I've just gone back to play them. At first I absolutely hated Emerald (the version I bought) but then I got past the first few towns and realised I was absolutely hooked. Whereas with Diamond I got bored and then stayed bored. (Platinum is better. ._.) So whilst I love Hoenn and Sinnoh the same, I'm going to have to go with Emerald on this question. :O

Diamond because I never played emerald, I never want to, and diamond has way more features then emerald does.

Uhmm..Why compare a game that is DS version and a game that is GBA version?
Emerald is made for Gba and Diamond is made for Ds,Emerald is no match for Diamond.
Diamond has more batter graphics,more pokemons,new events.
And emerald has more less pokemons,way more poor graphics then diamond.
Emerald is nothing compared to diamond. xD
