4th Gen Diamond/Pearl Glitch thread

For the last time, unless they come out with some patch that removes your back up save file, they're not going to be able to fix the cloning glitch... it's to do with your saves, I think it'd be cruel for them to make it so you couldn't have the back up one in case your game decided to mess up. It's just harder to do because people keep using Pokesav to make it so people wont clone, thus they go on the GTS and hack up Level 9 and under Mews to rip people off... though I really don't see why Hackers should bother with the GTS, I mean they can already get any Pokemon they want, so why bother taking the few real ones?

because...you dont have do be a hacker......say i was on this forum....i get someone to clone that lv 9 mew, trade me 1, and then i start getting awesome pokes.

Now, another glitch, found by someone else who I don't know. Bah, humbug.

Anyways:

D/P Cloning Trick!

1. Put the Pokemon you want to clone into your Party, from the BOX. If you already have it in the party, put them into the BOX, save, and take the Pokemon out.

2. Save your game. Then, when you boot up your DS (Lite), change the hour by an amount (30 Min, 60 Min, so on).

3. Reload the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl save.

4. The team should be of the current save file, but the BOX should be of the previous file.

I don't really understand this myself, so sadly I can't give any plausible information.

Well, the YouTube videos are gone now, thanks to Pokemon USA. Yay for them, and now we can't see them again.

I'll see if I can get anything else.

From,
~TheRoad

Please don't teach/use(readers) the Cloning Glitch they have a lot of Moderators specifically for Pokemon on Wi-Fi network, If they catch you clone even ONCE, your permanently banned from
Wi-Fi(NOT JUST POKEMON GAMES)....forever

You can't be banned from Wifi, since it uses your router, your ISP, and thus your connection.
That's like saying you can be banned from your computer by a moderator.

I found this on bulbapedia follow instructions!

How to evolve a Pokémon without trading it over to someone else!

1. Deposit a Pokémon that needs to be traded to evolve on the GTS for example Scyther (holding metal coat) and ask for a legendary Pokémon Level 9 and under.
2. Seek a Pokémon and do any trade.
3. Check the summary of your Pokémon to see how trade is going and press B to back up.
4. Log out of GTS and return to the reception.
5. Log back into the GTS and withdraw the Pokémon and look you now have evolved it.

PS. I bet this has been discovered already but I want to jog people's memory's.

Yay, the Surf glitch seems to work on my game. Can you fly from the black void or does it depends on where you stand? I don't dare to go underground since my game wants to save. Anyway I will get Pearl and trade over my Pokémon, so if I would be trapped somewhere I can just start a new game.
I will get the US version of Pearl so that I can get Arceus.
Someone showed me a funny glicth in Emerald. I don't know if it works in D/P, but it's no useful glitch anyway. You stand in front of one of the ledges and if a Trainer sees you from the other side he/she will walk over it.

Is it sure that you can start a new game and play as normally if you would fail when using the surf glitch?

what is the tweaking glich?

I'm not good at explaining it, but you ride your bike across the loading lines as fast as you can. The game will often freeze. But if you're lucky you will encounter Arceus.

It's not a manner of "If you're lucky you'll encounter Arceus." if this Tweaking Glitch does work like they say it does you have to be able to "make the black void" to get to spear pillar then somehow get up to Arceus even though the staircase isn't there.

If you get stuck when using the surf glitch, can you still start a new game? You won't ruin your game will you?

I tend to freeze a lot when in the GTS, but now its fine I dont freeze anywhere anymore, just a mini glitch in my cartridge?

The tweaking glich is where you ride between loading lines, keep the bike in fast gear, and quickly move your character down or up, left and right as though you're spinning. this will then create either an invisible wall, or a black or white void. this is what i have found from it so far.

between the loading lines?? what do you mean?

very hard to put it into words. when you go out of a city and move onto a route, that is a loading line. but there are some loading lines in the cities or the routes themselves. e.g. solaceon town, in between the pokemon centre and the fence, even try running through it. you may notice a little pause if you look at it closely, and thats a loading line. sorry if i worded it wrong.
