4th Gen Diamond/Pearl Monotype Challenge

Its where you go through the game using only one type, so if you chose water, then you could only use Pokemon that are water types (Piplup, Buizel, etc) to beat all of the gyms and the E4. Its more challenging that way. You can see the first post for more details.
 
Thanks to a whole lot of Sand Attack hax, I was able to beat Roark with my Starly, she evolved after the battle.

Then I traded over a Scyther and Togepi (for Togekiss, part flying)

Then trained Scyther and Togepi til they were both level 15 like Staravia.
 
my comp froze so i didnt save ( i did after the 1st gym, but I did a lot of training and beat team galactic at the windworks)

I did have a Bibarel lvl 15 and Prinplup lvl 16, maybe it autosaves idk lol

My emulator is non-responsive, I'll be out until then.

Leveled him up some.

Update: Its been awhile...opps.
Beat sixth gym (mostly with Hecate and Erebus).
Leviathan evolved.
Hatched my next team member, Uneg the male Cacnea.
Went to Lake Valor to complete the next part of the plot.
Leveled up Uneg some.
I'm planning on getting a Sneasel and maybe Spiritomb later.

can I do the dragon mono challange?, I saw that no one has it yet
 
I restarted my Diamond yesterday and tadede over a gible egg from pearl and hatched.

I Beat the first gym with gible lv 16
Went through Eterna forest gible evolved at lv 24 when I defeted the last of the fisher trainers on route 205
Then I saved in etrna city, thats what I did yesterday , today I will go for the 2nd gym with gabite, and later trade over a lv 1 bagon from pearl to add to my dragon team
 
I can't say no to you now can I? :D

And yet again, I still have no time to update...
 
thats ok I have lots of time to uppdate my challange daily since Im on christmas holliday here in Sweden

Caught Bidoof (Purpose to Trade with Friend for Gligar)
Trade.
Trained up Gligar.
Went To Oreburgh Gym (Turtwig Pwned The 2 youngsters and Roarks Onix and Geodude, then switched to Gligar missed 5 Iron Tails in a row and Cranidos then Took it out with 2 sucessful Hits)
Earned Coal Badge.
Beat Galactic Grunts with Ease.
Caught Bidoof (Nickname HM Slave, reason HM Slave)
Battled Trainers.
Reached Floaroma Town.

Traded Gligar Back 2 Friend, he taught it Aerial Ace then traded back again.
Entered Eterna Forest.
Turtwig Evolve.
Trained 4 Gym.
Exited Forest.
Gligar Defeated all trainers with Aerial Ace (Xcept Gardenina).
Try 1: Gligar Defeated Cherubi, Turtwig, then Gligar, Grotle lost 2 Roserade.
Try 2: Gligar Won with ease this time.
Earned Forest Badge.

Just a new little rule, I think it's best if every Pokemon you have traded only knows normal level up moves, for its level.

Otherwise it becomes quite easy, like in the case of giving Gligar Aerial Ace. From now on, you won't be allowed to teach Pokemon moves that you can't access already, i.e. TMs you find.
 
Just dekete it when he learns a new move I suppose. It'll be really sueful agaisnt Maylene so that's kind of cheating :S
 
So I defeted Gardenia , and Team galactic in eterna, my traded bagon egg hatched, So I gave it exp share to lv it upp a bit, saved my session in heatome city

I've got two questions. Firstly, could I join with water types? I'm bored, so hopefully this'll help pass the time.

And secondly, if you're trading something over, does it need to be in an egg, or can it be hatched already? Only, I've got a level 1 squirtle on my Pearl game ready to trade over, and don't know if the experience boost is counted as 'unfair'.
