I bought the imports of HG/SS when they released to Japan.
Then I bought both HG/SS again in the English version :3

Waited for it. I'm not as impatient as most of you lot.

I was never big on buying Jap games, so I waited till it came out in NA.

I waited for the English version to come out, I'm pretty patient so that was not a problem. As I can't read Japanese I thought it would take all the fun out of the game, because I wouldn't understand a single thing, so I got both SS/HG in English.

I bought the Japanese version of Heart Gold from Play-Asia and I bought both Heart Gold and Soul Silver when they came out in the US.

I waited for the English versions so that I could enjoy Johto in my language.

I waited for it to be in my language, although I did try out the Japanese version from someone who had it.

I'm not into Pokemon enough to play a game in japanese. xD
I didn't even know when the games came out, but I think I got my soulsilver about a week after it came out in the US.

I debated over buying the Jap version or not. I could have easily asked a relative over there to get it for me. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that they would want to hear from me about my life and what not. So i waited. :3

waited for it. i dont like playing pokemon if i cant understand what the people are saying and what attacks my pokemon learn

When I found out they were remaking one, that's when I bought my DS Lite, since this is my favorite handheld game, so while I waited for it I got Platinum to see if it that game was as a big of a dissapointment like Ruby and Sapphire where which it was not.

So yeah, I waited for the English version.

Waited i played the Japanese Version had no idea what to do so i just waited untill the english Version came out.

I was extremely impatient for it, but I didn't want to ruin the surprise by playing through the game and not being able to read or understand a damn word of it. That seems kind of stupid if you ask me. So I just waited.

I have patience but I figured why wait even more for a game that I've been waiting for a while now.

    I have the Japanese HG.

I "bought" the Japanese games... was pretty easy since I've played through G/S/C so many times. Only one or two parts I had no idea what to do at (Why would they move the Prof. Assistant into the Pokemart? Why?!), and so I Walked through Walls a bit.

And then I bought a legit HeartGold.

I cannot interpret Japanese, nor do I have anyone else to tell me what to do. It would rather be wise to wait for the American release. At least it's in a language that I can read and understand.

It might've been easy playing HeartGold and SoulSilver in Japanese. I've played the original enough times to remember where to go and people to battle. However, if it's a new region, I would be screwed.
