Did you ever attend a pokemon league?

    Over here in england, the pokemon cards where never that much of a big thing. So the leagues where so sparce hardly anyone went. (This info is for those of you who arnt english... obviously)

    But we did get (2 years i beleive..) the GBA pokemon league. The team who produces our 'official nintendo' mag wet around the country and stoped at leisure centres, stadiums and even the mellenium dome.

    I managed to get to one of the leagues, but only because it was right on my doorstep. It was so much fun, in an odd kinda way. And fighting and battleing 4 people i had never met before was such a great feeling..!

    Did anyone else go to any/want to go...??
     
    When and where is it?
    If it is during half term, I can ask my guardian to take me there.


    I've entered Hong Kong POkemon Alliance for 2years.
    Attended 4battles and 2other activities of it.
     
    I haven't gone to any Pokemon league, but I will be willing to be a gym leader if a league starts in Pennsylanvia.
     
    :confused: it was horrid...i went to some league thing 4 years ago with my friend and we got beat by bratty kids with abd attitude :confused: they had lv100!!! and it kinda sucks how they had an age limit of 15 on the league. at least i got mew at the event.
     
    All people in Hong Kong Pokemon Alliance use 100L Pokemon.
    There were some acceptions, and they were the only ones that I beat XP
     
    hey Hajime, you said about the cards, but nom never ran that, they ran the one just for the games. My local town 9i'm in a village) has it's own pokemoncard league, and you said that nom didn't do the live tours anymore. Incorrect! I went to the one they had this year (pokemon live [sponsered by vimto]) which happened in july, but ran over into september. You could have gone too if you live near or in London as i went to the croydon venue and there were others around this area. BTW I 'am also english and live pretty near to London myself.
     
    I wish but. Around my area everyone s either somethat makes fun of all those pokemon beyblade/ etc. And then thee is the kids who like yugioh. Some i heard my friend's , friend was getting made fun of because he liked pokemon. i wanted to say hi but.. i was afraid!
     
    PUNKIE NEVER BE AFRAID! That's my motto. I'm a 17 year old OPEN pokemaniac! I'm renouned for being that one that likes pokemon. But so what if they put it down! It's only there opinon. What does it matter to me. I've not lost any friends from 5 years of open pokemania, no i've gained them. But i acknowledge its difficult to say to everyone , hey i love something u'll prolly put down and don't understand, but for my just knowing i'm true to myslef and showing my tre colours means so much. I just wish there were pokemaniacs around so that people wouldn't feel so alone.

    Eighteen here, why cant more of you older fans live around here? Finally have a challenge....my GBA's water pokemon are getting bored

    Its a shame they dont set up a thingy so you can play over the net, like sims. I miss battling my cousins. It was so much fun.

    It was set up like a the end of a real league in the pokemon anime. The finalist got to play Dom... suposedly a master. With lv 70 pkmn. Anyone who knows the rare candy cheat could easily thrash him, only problem being you can never tell who has or hasnt.. not really. I got angry and used the rare candy cheat when my pokemon where at lv80.. i wanted lv 100s and training high level pokemon gets hjarder and harder. When i did use it.. that was it. My game got so ****ed up.. and the cartradge wiped... I was very upset.


    Oh, while i remeber, can you trade pokemon from blue and red.. silver.. blah blah.. to ruby and silver???

    I started a new game and now i will nevewr use that cheat... My pokemon are back to their original levels...
     
    well. Maybe yu should just do it the old fashion way! It's more fun!
     
    Once i get ruby and complete that, you watch.. i'll be the greatest pokemon master there ever was!! HAHAHA!
     
    lol I wonder where Shep is. Very strange for the rare candy cheat to mess up ur cart. Catching the high level pokemon which come along when you do it didn't even mess up my cart, but missingno i never caught. Besides i did use the rare candy on one pokemon once. It was so very weak, all its status were so much lower than one actually trained that it wasn't even worth it. Old fashioned catch 'em low and train 'em high is the best way.

    You can?t use your save file from the cart, but there is an unofficial battling game online. It?s true to the game mechanics 100% of Pok?mon, and you battle link cable style. You don?t raise the Pok?mon, but thinking up good teams and strategies is really what it?s about. Maybe you know of this, but? www.tvsian.com/netbattle

    Thanx kairi, ill check it out. It's nice to see people helpign one another eh?

    And on with the rare candy cheat business... I never cought any of the stupidly high level pokemon.. nor misingo.. or whatever it was called. But eventually my boxes on the pc where all deleted because I used the cheat a lot. I had heard rumour of it messing up the saved game, but never thought it would happen to me.
    One day i turned it on and the went to continue and misengo's pokedex entry came up, the screen twitched.. and it restarted and i when i loaded again i had no saved game. I paniced... and turned it off.. and on.. and off and on.. but no use. It was gone forever.... SO DONT USE THE BLOOMIN' CHEAT!!
