I had guessed that was the case with brilliant accuracy, but it still feels like a low-blow since the guidelines never said that the percent had to be thirties maximum. I mean, true sixty-five and seventy-two are rather high percents, but we were establishing that Hiroshi and Haru are both so determined to reach one-hundred that they put in all the stops to make it as high as possible. Just re-arranging the histories to make it thirty-nine, or somewhere else in the thirties, to me would imply that either: a) everyone else is in the tens-or-so margin since they weren't explained to be so avid about getting the percent up high (which is bad; they should have the chance to be in thirties maximum, too), or b) the two put in extra time and effort just to be on par with everyone else (just as bad; the two were specifically noted to be dedicated to the cause. Heck, it's especially insulting to me since Haru's grades are established to be slipping because of everything in his life being too stressful and pouring all his time into the bond. A very ultimate slap in the face to know that, as the record is now, I can either drop that story and formulate something else that's more conforming, something I don't want nor feel I should have to do, or keep it and it means nothing in the current context. I don't want to sound rude, and I'm sincerely sorry if I do, but I have to be blunt and say that it was an error in your judgement to not say early on that there is a maximum bond percentage, Fuyu). I'm guessing you see where the plight comes in o . e
Might I suggest that instead of changing our histories and what-not, to better remedy the situation, both the percents are capped down to thirty-nine once Lunamon and Bearmon first appear? I personally think it's the best compromise; we can still say our characters achieved high percents, but for some reason, like due to not being strong enough to support the strength of the bond or actually starting from the baby stage, it was reduced to keep them from being overwhelmed(/part of the percentage went to the digivolution to child/rookie stage).
And sorry this response took so long. It took twice as long trying to pick the right words and not sound like a complete arse > ~ <
