When I go to my profile, go to statistics, and click on the button that says "Find all posts by dud190", I get a message saying that searching is disabled. Is this just me or my cpu? Was this done on purpose or accident, and do you guys have any idea of when it would be enabled again? The same message pops up also when i press the "New Posts" button.

The disabled searching came up on my end as well. PC has had some random downtimes as of late so maybe it causes server issues or something.

Searching was disabled as part of a process to lessen server load because of the downtime issues we've been getting these last few days. It shouldn't be gone long, sit tight for now as our tech admins look into things. Sorry about that. =(

    [PokeCommunity.com] Disabled Searching

Figured search had to be taken away due to overload. As Woody (Toy Story) would say, I sure hope this change isn't permanent, and we have to resort to using Google "site:pokecommunity.com" from here on out...

A bit off-topic: Isn't the search limit window like 10 seconds or so currently? I think a longer delay would help a little bit with load issues, say 60 to 90 seconds (the other forum that I frequent, PXR, has a 60 second search window).

(Never mind that searching using the built-in search box and entering more than one word is a joke here-have to sift through dozens of results to even find what I'm looking for most of the time.)
