4th Gen Disappearing Entei?

Earlier today, I was going after the Legendary Dogs (wolfs, whatever you call them) and I noticed, that about 1/3 times, Entei was just completely missing off of the PokeGear Map. Raikou was always there, along with Latias, but Entei would just randomly disappear, and then a few more tries (going to goldenrod then right back out) it would appear again. Is anyone else having this problem/has anyone even heard of this before?

It might be going into caves, but wouldn't Raikou do the same thing? And wouldn't it still show up on the Pokegear?

I've noticed this too, where one of them (Entei usually, but very rarely Raikou) would not appear on the map. I suspect it's a glitch but I'm not sure what triggers it... it's not because Entei and Raikou are on the same route, because I've seen it before when they both are on the same route and their icons just overlap in that case.

I thought he did a runner too, but then realised when I opened up the map, the right of Jhoto region (the paths leading up to the Elite 4) wasn't visible. So perhaps he goes there for a kip before running about?

I've checked the whole map before though, that's how I know Latias is still there, Entei just decides to disappear for a while...

You're definitely not the first to have Entei gone missing. It's happened to me quite a few times. It's possible that RockHardSemi is right about where Entei does go off to the route near the Elite Four; this isn't visible until you get there. So...I'd probably think that's where he runs off to every once in awhile [or not]. D:
