Ditto should evolve!

    I say Ditto should evolve, into what you might ask? Well what else is there that is an amorphous pink blob that can use Transform? Mew of course! Granted, Mew is a more shapely amorphous pink blob than Ditto, but hey during evolution Ditto could solidify slightly into the mild form of a cat-like being.

    How Ditto would evolve, I don't know, maybe by having it hold that fossil they used to make Mewtwo and trading it at level 42 or above or something can evolve it into Mew. Why would someone want a level 42 Mew that only knows Transform? Well you could breed it to get an egg of Mew so you can train it yourself. Why would a Mew egg hatch a Mew and not a Ditto in this case? Well its already cannon for a Mew egg to hatch a Mew and not something else, right?

    EDIT:
    Ah yes and I forgot that to get the Mew fossil required for the level 42 Ditto to hold, you have to go to a Nintendo Event.

    Well its 2:30am, I just finished a finals project, I have to wake in six or seven hours, so I think I will make one last post for the night, you guys for some unknown reason say that two pink amorphous blobs cannot and should not evolve into the other, even though they are the ONLY Pokemon who can learn Transform and one of the can use all Pokemon moves while the other can learn all Pokemon moves. Well I say to you lets check out these other first edition pokemon, Remoraid and Octillery.

    Now somehow, somehow, these two pokemon evolve into each other, one looks like one of those fish you find deep deep in the bottom of the ocean, and the other is an octopus, really the only thing they share between each other is they both breathe water

    Now here is another pokemon evolutionary set I must bring up, Dragonair and Dragonite.

    One is an Eastern style dragon, the other is a Western style dragon, one is a quadroped, maybe even a hexroped, which is definitely not a word, while the other is a snake, with a head and a tail.

    These guys evolve and aren't complained about, whats the deal with Ditto and Mew? At least they are simmilar! And I will only deal with first generation pokemon on this matter, because this is WAY too common in the other generations

    I don't think so.

    Legendary Pokemon do not evolve, be it to or from anything. Since Mew and Ditto are two seperate entities and have been around since Gen I, it simply would not make sense to have Ditto evolve into Mew. Legendary Pokemon cannot make Eggs, with the exception of Manaphy. Mew is meant to be an exclusive Pokemon, whether you have to go to an event or work hard for it.

    In short: No.
     
    I dont think ditto should evolve into mew. I do think that it should maybe evovle into something more useful, ya know?

    But I remember a friend of mine sending me an egg and it hatching into Mew... Are you sure Mew can't have eggs?

    Ok, let me put it this way-- Smeargle can Sketch Transform. So are you also implying that Smeargle should evolve into a legendary? Not to mention evey Pokemon with Metronome can get Transform. So should Clefable evolve into Mew as well? Should Skitty's Assist get it access to this funky evolution chain, as well? The answer to all of this: No.

    Seriously, if you think about your beginning statement, you'll realize how odd this is.
     
    If you recieved a Mew egg, it was hacked. Mew and Ditto are totally seperate in the dex and have nothing to do with each other. Should they be evolutionally linked? Never.

    Ditto can evolve! as if It evolves into Maditto. It looks like a Missingno, because Ditto sucks, alright.
     
    I agree, it would be awkward and random for ditto to evolve into mew. Especially now at this generation. I don't really understand much of your reasoning for wanting so, but you get points for creativity :) . Personally I still hold on to my dream of Lapras evolving and evee evolving into a stronger normal type.

    Ok Right 1st Genoration And 5th Genoration 5 Whole Genortations So Work That Out To Get Ditto Evoulved And Also Ditto Is Usefull Transform With All Its Moves Against A Dragon With Its Moves Its So Awesome!
     
    I'd say if Ditto were to evolve, it'd be into a larger pink blob that can also learn moves such as mimic, mirror move, etc.
     
    What would ditto evolve into? A ditto that looks different and can change into the trainer? lol
     
    Ditto shouldn't evolve because it is one of the better known Pokemon, and it adds up into Pokemon's originality. A lot of users were upset about some of the previous generation Pokemon gaining new evolutions in Diamond / Pearl. Ditto's evolution would just ruin it. Plus, what would it look like? A pink blob with spikes on its head? It wouldn't look to good if it evolved. Also, in Pokemon gaming they would know Transform, so if Ditto battled against Ditto's evolution, they would simply engage in a Transform stall out. Not to mention that Ditto would transform into its evolution and Ditto's evolution would transform back into Ditto, which isn't the best idea for gaming. Ditto wasn't really made out for battling, it was just a Pokemon that Nintendo put into the game to make breeding easier. Giving it an evolution would serve no purpose.

    no like double triple no. there should be no other pokemon that does wat ditto can do. One pokemon that can become another pokemon and have each move cept w/ 5 PP should only be allowed in each game. and think about it ditto is a whole different kind of pokemon do u think there would be another pokemon just like it? i dont think so =3:cool:
