Neat, I wonder if we'll get any new nice floors this time. Probably not.

Speaking of that, Comiket's in 9 days. Can't wait, so much doujin :q

I do wonder if any major doujin circles have anything lined up. Really hoping Twilight Frontier does something, but that's just wishful thinking. Doujin anime would be nice, too.

Wait, Comiket is that close? Ooohhh...time to see if anything good will pop up on exhentai after it finishes. Particularly of the trap variety.

Spoiler:

On that note, one thing that really bothers me is that there are a good number of people that seem to think that "doujin" refers to H specifically.

Reminds me of those people that think that indie games are small obscure titles and don't realize that it's not a matter of size, but rather, is dependent on whether the game has a publisher or not. Hence the title "independent". Which, unfortunately, makes up the majority of gamers. Or people in general.

Doujinshi can be either H or non-H really, it's just from a standpoint that's what pops into a lot of anime fans' heads when they hear the word.

Also it seems like quite a bit of the Doujinshi market tends to cater a lot to H, granted I have also found some very good non-H Doujinshi after swimming through the swarm of H ones.

Doujin can be pretty much anything, really. It's basically the Japanese equivalent of "indie" or "fan work".

Though what one generally thinks of when they hear doujin does vary greatly from person to person. I personally think of games and music- though I'm pretty exclusively interested in Touhou when it comes to Comiket music. Games, however, I'm open to pretty much anything. Manga works probably come after that. Though because I'm open to all types of doujin work, I guess I don't really think of one particular medium.

This is very true, and it's obvious that if the word is restrained to one particular medium or audience then it starts to become a overused and tiresome stereotype, just like how the word "otaku" is used by quite a bit of Japanese people as a derogatory stereotype.
