Concerning the Zelda thing, the only thing we know is that the guy on stage hinted at it not being Link. Just genderbending him would be quite boring, so I hope it's a new character altogether.

The model doesn't look anatomically female, either. Much like Link, it looks like a slender male.

...Then again, Sheik is a thing. So we can never be certain.

To me it looks like a Joan of Arc type setting, in the trailer at least. Perhaps it could be Zelda saving Link, for once. Or just a storyline following Zelda in general. Either way the design is pretty awesome, and I would go as far as to say that it is a female character. There is no indication that the character shown is the main one though, perhaps that's a prologue as to what happens to Zelda before Link has to save her again. It would be nice to see the game take a less patriarchal view on things for sure though.

Hyrule Warriors is going to be great. Identical to all the other Dynasty Warriors games but those are great too.

What those games find acceptable is funny - no multiples of the same character, but you can have archenemies fighting on the same side against a random person with no connection to either of them. In the Gundam version you can put any pilot in any suit as well.

They don't even make a passing attempt to explain it though. It's kinda like Smash Bros that way.

Splatoon really grew on me. And then it un-grew on me as they played it over and over and over.
