Oh yeah, and I'm not going to lie, I'd actually pay to see a 90 minute movie in which Han Solo does nothing but shoot first.

And people hate Jar Jar, partly because his antics weren't funny, and he gave Carribean people a bad name with his insulting stereotyping.

The main reason many people hate Jar Jar Binks, however, is because he was indirectly and directly responsible for the creation of Palpatine's empire by giving Palpatine emergency powers in Episode II. Basically, it was George Lucas giving Star Wars fans the middle finger, by having Jar Jar of all aliens screw over the entire Old Republic and giving rise to one of the most menacing villains in Star Wars history.

Don't get me wrong though, while I do admit that the prequels were lacking on some levels, I don't dislike them. Heck, I thought they were pretty funny and charming at times.

Seems to be a pretty decent revamp with some added features. There seems to be a lot more focus on manipulating the crowd's excitement to have it reach maximum during your turn, especially, as you get much more rewarding bonuses with the special moves and the opportunity to mega evolve and the likes.

And if they screws it all up, at least it'll still be more fun than Sinnoh's contests. :P



Also I'll get to dress up in all cutesy pink and have fun with my mons in 3D. I cannot miss this opportunity.

I think it's something more along the lines of "when you've set up the perfect amount of audience hype, you mega evolve the pokemon (using your bangle) in order to make an even bigger impact".

It's all about pleasing the audience. The official site explains the mechanics much better than the trailer.

Think of it like a concert; you don't play the best song at the very start. You have to build up the mood to the point where your best song will be received to its maximum.

It does make me wonder what GF's next move will be. For seventh gen, I mean. I was incredibly impressed with XY from he start. They took chances, and they made additions and changes that ranged from minor to major. I really have to wonder if they'll return to their old tactics now that they've added what they have and reached the 3D plain or if they'll continue to innovate.

I could see either being viable for them, really.
