Maybe, but the end result only really affects you all of twice throughout the game.

And we have awesome character designs. Plus, really, drowning is a more relatable pain. I've been burned, but not to the point that I can relate to someone who's been burned to death. I can, however, relate to someone who's drowned. It sucks.

How so? 'Cause from here it seems like you're saying that just for the sake of it. Generally saying you think something's better and leaving it on that point doesn't make for good conversations. It's one of the more useless things you can do unless it's done as jokey trolling since it's just a stub with no info.

Gen 3 isn't much to get all exclusive-worry over, there aren't that many and they certainly aren't enough to shift the masses' choice unless their on the bridge. Well, save for Groudon and Kyogre.

But you know, better aesthetically designed and rather enjoyable villains from AS, no regrets here.

Think about it. Pretty much any incident with water will be either near fatal or share some of the same detriments as drowning. It's not extreme, but getting burned barely equates or compares to the experience that is burning to death.

I don't really think that it's better. :p But I do prefer some of the Pokemon exclusive to Omega Ruby.

I honestly agree with that. If anyone feels that one is better then the other it's just because of bias.

Eh, you can catch Surskit on route 102 as well, which is really fun to use, especially with some DexNavved egg moves. You'll find plenty of water types in Hoenn as it is, and most of the grunts will just have Poochyena anyway, so there's really no point mucking up the version exclusives for the sake of "balance". And you can trade so easily in this generation, like seriously.
I played through AS and really liked the team, on the topic of that. Archie is a very compassionate, cool guy, whom it was legitimately fun to have this sort of rivalry with. And the whole team's dialogue (the examine texts in the hideout especially) were refreshingly casual and humoristic. I do like both Magma's admins much better than Aqua's, they're interesting characters in how twisted they are (and Courtney is Courtney), but that's pretty much all I'll give them.
