however, we staffs can still advise MOTM hosts you know...

rules such as the one for max of 5 votes for one member is a great one from Kairi, to prevent her own monopolyg (well she's still beating everyone else but no way near as badly as before at least)

Finally.. --;; Tough luck for those who have siblings, they'll have to share an account. Unless they're not interested, like my lil bro. He came here, and then what..? He stayed for just a week XP He's not so big on forums, lucky me, that means I get to have the computer all to myself >3

No, Each Computer has different IP, if you are using dialup.

DSL and Broadband is different.... and also, STOP HARASSING PEOPLE or you will be reported. I am tired of you picking on a person that who cheats....
 
um... we're not insulting you Solar (don't feel offended) but only those who sibling-abuses and tell them to vote in such-and-such a way (be it the siblings/cousins are doing it out of own will or not) in order to try to manipulate the votes... really it's directed at anyone with siblings and family members voting all at once.

EDIT: err Alyssa let's not be hypocritical -_-

People cheated.
She made her view of cheating known.

But I have no sympathy when people threaten to leave to win an arguement.

the most junichi can get is to have all of his votes ignored... not like he spammed or linked to porn or anything so how can he can banned? O.o;

In a president election, a few family members (say 20) isn't even 0.001% of the total population so it doesn't matter... however 3 votes for MOTM is more than 5% of all votes.

Yeah, I wasn't harassing anybody.. o.o; And if I was, then at least show me the post and explain it to me piece by piece (you guys know I'm stupid..) and tell me where I went wrong and I'll accept it. I was just saying how I felt.. And they cheated. I dun think I said something like "THIS PERSON SHOULD BE BANNED" So where did I harass?

If he tells them to vote for him in order to rig the election, yes, it's not only cheating; it's illegal.
 
Yeah, but with official political voting, not only are there still restrictions, but there are many safety measures taken to make sure that no one person votes multiple times. x_x; We can't do that here, so we have to make due with whatever we have that CAN prevent that from happening.

Well, maybe not in Canada. o_O; *read a weird article about the recent election and how... disorganized it apparently was. Or something. Mreh.*
 
Well, it's kind of weird that the siblings kind of "Appeared" during MOTM time, and they only vote for skds, no?

yes that's true. That was made to prevent people voting a few people 20 times for every single category.

However, now people are using different accounts to give in identical votes bypassing the rule, which is the main thing that we're dealing with. These identical votes come from the same IP addresses, leading to the conclusion that it's either the same person cheating, or family members. We won't allow one person cheating obviously, but family members are a bit of a gray area so we're deciding on that right now.
