Issue: Do Not Have Permission To VM Someone?

I tried to VM Sector Revenge and I got this message:

o_0 Quite obviously logged in. Sector Revenge must have SUPER POWERS!

I can't "View Conversation" for some reason? It only happens on his/her convo'...

They've probably turned it to friends only, and I didn't see you on their friend list.

I have that same problem too, cos I'm not on his friends list.

He apparently set his VMs just to friends and staff members. I've seen a few members set it to that, not just Sector Revenge. In some cases a member might take VMs off altogether because they prefer being privately contacted.

What's weird is that you were able to get to a spot where you could try to VM him. With disabled VMs you shouldn't have the option to send a VM no matter what. o_o;

Toujours is right. If someone disables VMs you basically can't post a VM on their profile.

I guess your only option might be PMing him instead, although some members may not be able to be PMed because they either have disabled it or have a full inbox.

Actually it's easy to get there, just get a view conversation link and replace x person's numbers with y person's numbers.

So silly though XD I don't really like PMs. I wanted just to message him back, and "View Conversation" is available... This should be gone if it's disabled, no? I saw others where "View Conversation" was not available and I figured it was because of anti-VM options.

Yeah, it shouldn't show "View Conversation" if his VMs are disabled. That sounds like a weird glitch.

But I've been on other people's profiles and sometimes, randomly, "View Conversation" isn't shown for some individuals. Is that not when they've disabled it? If that's the case, should it not be disabled on my own, too? Because surely those individuals also do not see "View Conversation" if it's absent on my end?

I don't think that's the case. I clearly remember seeing someone not have a 'View Conversation' on my profile because they had set it to different settings.

So I'm not on Sector Revenge's list, but I can still click "View Conversation." In this case, the "View Conversation" link should not even appear, no?
