Do Ya Likes/Want To People Call You By Your Real Name?

    um...no i prefer not to be called by my name online...
     
    To quote somebody from another forum:

    "Just a bit too weird hearing it [online alias name] from somebody I really know offline..."

    Personally, I prefer if people I don't know IRL don't know my name. But at the same time I'd prefer to be called by real name by people I do know offline. Nobody IRL comes up to me and says, "Hey TRIFORCE89!". And likewise I don't call people by their online names IRL (yet it appears I'm not calling people I know IRL by the real names here anyway ;P). If you know my IRL and know my name then call me by it if you like. That's most likely how the rest of you will end up knowing because I'm not going to tell you, you'll most likely read it if someone calls me it. But then if you do know it but don't know me I would prefer if you call me TRIFORCE89.

    Actually, I think I just changed my mind. Just TRIFORCE89 by anybody. I like my privacy. *may end up changing mind again*
     
    i made a theard about that. No i don't like being called my real name only ASP OR ANTI-SPAM OR my name on here or A-SP.
     
    Meh... On the net, I dont really care if someone knows my name or not, I just would prefer the names jokestr2003, jokestr2004, jokestr, or j... but uh preferably just j.

    In real life, they call me Brad.. (thank god not Bradly X_x) and when I try to get them to call me j, they call me B. so yeah.

    I'd prefer people to call me by my RL name instead of 22sa if they know what it is... Only in private chats/messages though. It's my real name afterall! I just don't want my RL name posted.
     
    i would like people of the p.c. to call me ashley and not ashley03 it's shorter and i like being called ny my real name and not by one of my nicknames!:laugh:

    i don't really care either way. i prefer calling people by real names though. most of the time they're much easier to remember.
    so you can call me ryan or rsgh5 or rlgd5 or whatever the heck you want.
     
    Well there is a reason why I didn't sign up with my real name...?

    I prefer screen name here of course. I personally believe that you should call someone by their screen name unless you're very certain that you're very close to that person, close enough to call that person by real name...
     
    Maybe your name was already taken, so you made this up? Well, that's one reason that you could have had to sign up as Frostweaver.
     
    well, since most people already know me by "Tommy" better than by "tmbjr", I guess I'd rather be called that. Besides, when I'm looking throug ha thread and I see someone refer to me as tmbjr, i kinda miss it cuz I'm here looking for "Tommy" XP
     
    I really don't have a preference to what people call me. Snowangel is fine... but if you prefer to call me Ashley then go ahead. A couple of people already use my real name instead of my screen name so it really doesn't matter. The only issue with the latter choice is that Ashley is a more common name and may confuse people. But I honestly don't care which you call me by... I'll respond to either.
     
    :P I don't like people calling me by my real name since I don't like my name. o.o; So, I'm Asher to you. =P
     
    some of my bestest online friends call me Shome...... but normal ppl call me Lance or Lite.... thats kinda it....
