Do you donate to charity?

No. I have done the local bikeathon most years since 2004, which is for Cancer Research UK I believe, but my main motive has been simply to enjoy a long ride around places I have not been to much or at all before without getting lost.

Most charities are out to end a naturally occuring disease, or some manner of mental or physical retardation. I am concerned more with the state of mankind's overpopulation, which demands that well be culled, not cured.

No, I would have to have money first.

Then, when I had enough money I would. But as of now I have not.

I volunteer at the Humane Society though. : D

Am I a bad person for not giving money to charity, as in walking in and donating?
It depends on the moral code which you are held to. If such a moral code required you to actively give your resources to a noble cause (and here another element of subjectivity creeps in), then yes. Otherwise, no. (And of course, this doesn't take into account the counterbalancing effect of any other "good" (more subjectivity~) actions you may do.)

As for the question, I'll occasionally donate to charity. I don't exactly have a steady source of income, so it's limited, but when I have some spare change and I see what I deem to be a worthy cause, I will donate.

Yes, I donate actually but not really much just the right amount. Especially October >.>
I donate usually from the church.

I donate whenever I have the money to do it.

I usually donate the most money to the Salvation Army around the holidays. They're everywhere, and that's when I have the most money to spend... until after the holidays, of course. ._.

Nothing wrong with helping out your fellow man, right?

idk why I'd need to donate to Charity, I think she has enough money already. [reference to this girl sitting next to me... and that being her name. o3o;]

But srsly, I don't because I don't have any money~

Of course I do, it's fun especially when it's Outreach Program.

I'll often shop at charity shops (one of my best friends works at one), and it's where we'll send things we no longer need. So I guess so.

I'll also sponsor friends - for example my cousin always participates in Race for Life.

My parents donate to a few charities and sponsor a child in... some third world country. I myself have never really donated money though. I probably will donate to Child's Play sometime though. :] I really like the idea and drive behind that charity.

The best and most effective way of donating to Charity is through regular donations, be it monthly Direct Debit, or quaterly or even an annual arrangement. This is best for the charities, because it means that they know what money will be coming to them, how much it will be, and when it will be coming. This in turn, means that they can plan for future projects, and not have to take money out of their bank too often- the bank being there to use when emergencies hit when aid is needed oversea for example.

Of course, one off donation will never be turned down, but next time you consider donating, think about doing it monthly. If you are going to donate £20 or $20 for example, make it £2/$2 a month instead- it will be a little bit more than u were intending, but better for the Charity in the long term.

I give money to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Friends Of The Earth, Amnesty International and another one I cant remember- all on monthly donations.

Well im to young to donate to charity.

...no, and to tell the truth i probably won't. I've tried to donate bread the "homeless" people on the street, though only 1 person took any :/ But ya, I don't like the idea of giving money to things that I find trivial at best, especially when I'm not getting anything out of it (warm fuzzy feelings don't count as "something". I'm also a bit of a cynic, so i really don't like the idea of "donating to the cause" or whatever.

That's because I donated for her, sweetie. As well as BeachBoy.

PokéCommunity is the only thing I've ever donated for. Charities and things like that never really crossed my mind, unfortunately. Not that I have the money to do so anyway. And... if I did, unless it was more than enough that I needed, I probably wouldn't, either.

I don't donate nearly as much as I should to charity :( I'll try and keep this in mind when I see one of those collecter people.
I do throw in a few coins for the school charity collection run once a week... :D

I donate my old toys and clothes about every 6 months or so.
I also voulenteer about once every 2 months, but I don't donate money directly.
Just my time ^_^

When I have money to spare, I always donate. However, I turn down any gifts involved unless their purpose is to spread awareness of the organization; I wouldn't really call it donating if you're receiving something in turn, I'd call it a transaction. I generally donate to the FSF, the EFF, the Red Cross, or a software project in need of funds. Unfortunately, I rarely have money on-hand, as I do not have a job. One of the reasons I gravitate toward free-gratis (or gratis/libre) software is because I prefer to spend my money on donations, though.

I do quite a lot actually. oo

Doesn't make me feel like a better person, but i do because I can. xD

If I have some change I just put it in the charity box. If it's like adopting an animal,no. Mum & Dad wouldn't let me. :( I'd like to adopt a dolphin or tiger though.......Kawaii Tigers.....
And I've donated to the Air Ambulance Charity as they once saved my uncle....

... I'm ashamed to say this but no. I do put in money if our teacher gives us an envelope to donate to charity but If a person comes to me on a street and say 'Would you like to donate?' I flatly refuse them. I even refuse people handing out fliers. D|
