    I was just IMing a friend who told me about some problems with his mom, he won't see her if he doesn't have to, but I do get along very well with both my mom and dad, I like being with them, what about you?, do you get along with your parents?*faints*
     
    This belongs in OVP, and there's already been a thread a lot like this. But, meh...

    I have cool parents, they keep a cool head. But sometimes they get the "parent fixation" of "I'm the parent, and as such, I'm automatically correct."

    Hm. My family and I were always pretty close. Though there's alot my parrents don't know about me and probably would disown me if they knew XD So as close as we are, I'm sure theres sill some secrets between us.
     
    Not recently there hasn't, I just looked. o_O

    Anyway, I get along with my parents really well ^_^
    They're nice people, and they're not that strict (except for the limiting my comptuer time, but meh, they were only doing what was best, in the end). They're not embarassing to me overall (there are a few times when they get really weird, but oh well). And since I'm not a troublemaker, they don't punish me or yell at me.
    And that is why we get along. ._.;

    No, to mother im a tool for her disposal, and im not in conact with father...cause for all I care he is still dead like I was told when I was little ??
     
    I'm pretty close with meh parents but they kinda piss meh off sometimes.. They nag when I use the comp a little bit more than how much I do.. But of course.. they're still the coolest parents on Earth!! Go parents!!
     
    I get along fantasticly with me folks.^^
    Everyday,I'll take time to have a short chat with them.
    They always do what's best for me I suppose,even if it means less time on the comp,and more time studying.XD
    They can be strict sometimes,but I guess its for my on good!
    I really look up to my mom too,being able to balance family and THAT aount of work.o.0
     
    I'm not sure if I should answer in this cause I had a pretty messed up childhood when it came to parents, I was very good with my mom and father when I was little but then when I was 6 my dad chose to not come over anymore, took me three years to finaly find out it's cause he ran out of money and wasint rich anymore so he thought me and my brother would hate him =/ which in the end isint the case. So it took him ten years to come back and see that we where not mad at him but he ended up doing that just in the last year or two and I've changed so much since I saw him.. So it's like evry time we talk we run into dead ends cause he treats me like I'm 6 and I'm not while I show him my work and he dosint really understand the world of art or animals which make my life so worth living.

    So me and him are kind on the verge of not even knowing eachother T_T it's depressing but me and my mom are VERY close, anybody bothers her and you can be sure to have my teeth half way threw your neck befor you can say Shes wrong =D. I'm getting to the age when panic attacks become full blown and my erm ... Privet moments are more privet but she still helps me threw it and is very overprotective ^^ I'm not even aloud to work yet, but I cant live a single day without seeing her or my siblings. I'm just the kind of person who gets along with anybody who gives me the chance o.o and they happen to be the very best people in the world to do that with ^^. There isint a single time where we fight and cant get over it ^^ Five minutes laiter everything is forgoten and me and my mom go back to reality =D

    And since my father was absent for so long the one that takes the fatherly figure in my opinion and life to what I do is my teacher o.o Raven Ruka. He may be a teacher but there isint a moment when he isint caring and taking me every step of the way threw my hard times at school and at home with sertan relations other then my mom, twin and sister. Hes also overprotective and can literaly kill anyone if I show any sign of worrie or scared emotions X_X... Tried to do so with someone I knew online and scared the living daylights out of the girl lol.
     
    I get along with my parents. they don't bug me and i don't bug them. Even though my friends hate their parents, which is kinda understandable coz their parents don't let them do anything but for me, i'm as free as a bird, can do what ever I want, whenever I want. I don't even need to work because they pay for whatever I want.

    *sigh* All they ever do is stress me out with doin' my homework, actin' like one of my age, tch, an' tellin' me how crap I am because I can't do squat, aswell as always remindin' me of my old depression an' sayin' that I feel unhappy an' failed, which isn't true. *sigh* All they ever do is bring me down... nope, tch, I can't get along with 'em. <_<
     
    well, i told u what happened between me and my DAD........ i hate him now.....but i am great with my mom though ^^;. But my dad............... hes just a pain in my life.........
     
    My parents are the opposites of each other
    My mom is really nice, she's gentle and determined to get a problem done. She also despises a lot of things my father does. My mom is the only parent I've told that I was bisexual
    My dad on the other hand He has two sides, the good side and the bad side. In the good side he jokes, he watches TV, he hangs out with us and he gives me candy. But his bad side scares all of us. He curses and gets mad about the smallest things gone wrong like a little new scratch in the countertop or the stylus for his pda missing. He also does lots of critisizing at my mother like if something's different about the food at dinner, the fridge being rearranged for easier access or some of his things missing.
    But despite all the confusion, I manage to get along well with both of them yet I am still very intimidated of my father.

    No, when I get bad grades, I get yelled at and they just piss me off >.> I can't help with my bad grade gettings, it's the teacher who hates me. I'm trying my best to keep on their good sides with good grades, but I guess it's not working all that well.
