Do you have a job?

Well, I do freelancing as in a short term job on the internet during the summer breaks since I get plenty of free time at home and the best part about freelancing is that you don't actually have to go out and work. You sit at home with your PJ's on and you get to pick your hours, your clients, and your projects etc. xD

Used to work at a Dry Cleaner, I got the boot for... something called "negative customer feedback" that they weren't willing to clarify.

And man was the manager a ***** when I asked her why before I collected my last paycheck. She was all like, "oh we can't tell you that, that's CONFIDENTIAL."

What.

I think they just didn't like me and wanted to give a ******** reason to why they got rid of me to cover it. I worked hard at that job, and the idiot who kept her job, I was always fixin' her mistakes. I guess it's more about being prissy and all than it is about doing a good job anymore...

I mean, what the hell is "negative customer feedback" supposed to even mean without any details?

I've decided that I'm going to just wait until I sign up for my classes and see if the college will hire me. It'd be nice because they'd work around my schedule and all. If I don't manage to get a spot I'll try to get a job again...

Yes and no.

I have a job secured, but I don't start it until next year. Essentially, I've sold my soul and become a corporate lawyer. In order to do that, though, you need to take this training course called the LPC (Legal Practice Course), which I'll be commencing in August. It's sort of like another year of university, but instead of learning cases and statutes, I'll be learning more practical elements of being a lawyer, like drafting documents and taking good notes and stuff. Then I have about 6 months off, where I'm hoping to go travelling for a bit, and then I start my job. Yay?

I've worked at the pizza place in our mall for almost two years now. Usually I make pizzas, but sometimes I serve/cashier, dishes, or prep as it's needed. It's not my dream job by any means, but I'm good at it, I'm getting enough hours for benefits, and I'm getting paid more than minimum wage, so I'll keep at it as long as they'll have me. :)

I'm working in Quality Control in a microbrewery this summer. My dad works at the brewery and they hire on the kids of people there during summers so I've worked there the last few years. I used to be in accounting but another person's kid took my spot and QC needed someone a few days a week for data entry so I took the job. But one of the full-timers is on vacation right now so they took me on full-time while she's in China for a month and I get to actually do some tests in addition to data entry.

It's actually kinda fun and I love how repetitive it is because I've been listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks while I work, but I'm not cut out for the full-time testing stuff because I'm not tall (or strong) enough to easily get brew samples from the big tanks and I'm out of shape so I'm so sore and full of aches in my arms and legs and feet from pouring and standing (in heavy steel-toed shoes ;~;) all day that it's absolutely exhausting. I've only been doing this extra stuff for a week now and I'm just ridiculously happy it's a long weekend lol.

I only work in the summers and not during the school year, thankfully. u_u;

Yes I'm in charge of mowing the lawn and shoveling the driveway

No, I don't have a job. I am way to young.

I got a job today actually! I'm a server at one of the best restaurants in town. I start on Sunday, so I don't really know how I'm gonna like it, but it's the first job I've had that isn't run by my relatives. And apparently waiters make good tips on Sundays and get to eat on that day, which is nice haha. Come band camp, it'll probably be the only day I'm gonna work. But I am looking forward to starting. Little nervous though.
