Do you have teams of all one type??

I have two mono teams
Poison:
Gliscor
Nidoking
Crobat
Toxicroak
Weezing
Nidoqueen

Grass:
Sceptile
Breloom (spore + focus punch = epic win)
Venusaur
Torterra
Meganium
Vielume(sp)

I've never done it yet. So far all my teams have been made of my 6 favourite Pokemon that I can get my hands on. Thinking of making a mono type team, but I'm pretty lazy so if it happens it won't be in the near future :P

I usually monotype Ground with:

-Hippowdon
-Gliscor
-Torterra / Mamoswine / Steelix
-Claydol
-Dugtrio / Quagsire
-Tyranitar (If you argue this, you don't understand how monotype works. :P)

The multiples are dependent on what I need more; offense or defense. Between Torterra, Mamoswine and Steelix, Mamoswine is offensive-minded, Steelix is defensive-minded, and Torterra is a mix of both. Often times, I find myself using Torterra.

Dugtrio's a great revenge killer / trapper, while Quagsire gives me bulk and a much-appreciated Water immunity.

Hippowdon's role as a lead is obvious. TTar would be a lead, but it's focused as more of a late-game sweeper.

Claydol is my Spinner, as Toxic Spikes can be a problem. I don't have anything that can absorb status, and Claydol doesn't care anyway.

Gliscor is my favorite Pokemon and is awesome in general.

Tyranitar is an awesome sweeper. :P

If I don't use Ground, I enjoy using Bug as well.

Back years ago(R/Y/B/G/C/S days) there was a league of fans in Charlotte, NC. we gathered and had tournaments random matched etc. I was a Trainer in one of the "Gyms" you had to beat the trainers to get to the leader. Of course its long gone now :(

I had a all Rock/Ground Type Team

Onyx
Golem
Rhydon
Donphan
Tyranitar

And one other I don't remember

Actually, I just recently created an all-flying team on Emerald, specifically for a monotype challenge however. This was my team:

-Swellow
-Crobat
-Gyarados
-Altaria
-Xatu
-Gligar

I also realized that flying is probably the most versatile type you can use. With DP, you can get any type using all-flying except for fighting, and even without it, the only other type you'd be lacking is ghost. In other words, if you have any good coverage for the three weaknesses of flying on your all-flying team, you'd hardly be doing a monotype challenge at all. That's why I also did a poison monotype run on the same game. This was my team for that:

-Crobat (again)
-Vileplume
-Swalot
-Weezing
-Seviper
-Tentacruel

This one was actually much more difficult, and currently is much more incompleted than the flying one, not only for the reason that I have to be able to defeat a team that has about 25-30 levels on me and contains all the types that poison hates the most, but I also have to go through the entire Battle Frontier using the same type, that would be if I didn't drop it, which I think I will, because I've lost interest in that one. I think next time I'll do the bug type. As for the specifics, I'm not yet sure. (Okay, I'm pretty sure I've answered the main question by now)

I have an all Psychic, Diamond I think.

Alakazam
Gallade
Espeon
Metagross
Claydol
Mewtwo(Imported from FireRed via Palpark)

I don't know why I still have a MewTwo in there, it's not very good in reality.

Whem.. And if I ever do... I use nothing but Water.... I don't know it just works for me...

When I signed up for a Gym Leader spot elsewhere, I ended up making a Ghost/Poison team, for that Gym.

1) Haunter
2) Mismagus
3) Bannete
4) Dusclops
5) Sableye
6) Gengar
