itz simple du ya lik txt lnguage?
    Translation below
    Spoiler:

    Nope never.

Sure, I'll misspell a word once in awhile, but other than that; no, I do not use 'text language' when talking to anyone through text messages.

Well when people say "ok" or "u" those are about the only ones that really bug the hell out of me. Everything else is fine, i got use to it from msn anyway :D

I hate most of it. It's ok when you use the abbreviations like "atm" for "at the moment" or things like that. The stuff I hate is when you take a simple work like "you" and it gets simplified even more to "u". Then there are the people that abuse it. It seems like they actually strive to make their sentences look illegible. Lastly there's the fact that it's quicker for me to type full words then to type out this whole other language. '~'

I hate it. Like SL said it's a disgrace to the English language. I don't even use it when texting (and I hate texting anyway; it's stupid).

I'm not normally a judgmental person at all, but if I see people typing like that (and not just as a joke), I tend to think of them as less intelligent than people who bother to type out words and use decent grammar, especially on a forum where you have all the time in the world to type up your posts properly.

Depends on what degree of horror it is. If it's something like
"so i wuz goin 2 da mall n i saw dis shirt OMG it wuz da best!!! u wud love it"
then.. no. Just.. no. I know a lot of people who text like this and I don't complain to them, but if I were any more high-strung this would drive me crazy.

While a fully-texted out message with all words properly spelled is a beautiful gem to come across in a text message, simple, thoughtful and occasional abbreviations to save time and effort are appreciated as well. Either of the two above come across as a little more respectable, in my opinion.

    AGREE.
    Language was invented to speak. not to make weird sounds that are supposed to be words. we had that in stone age and now we're doing back steps ;;

I don't even do it on my mobile phone - I've got a qwerty keyboard and unlimited text messages so I have no excuse. Although, my previous phone had a standard keypad and I still managed to type real words out! Oh my gosh!

My friends and cousin use text speak even on MSN, and it annoys the hell out of me.

It's okay at some levels, but I hate it when people take it too far. Like someone just sent me an email that was supposedly scary ( I also hate chain emails). How am I supposed to even take it seriously if it's like : " it wil get u frum undr ur bed, and u wil b ded the next day".

It's just annoying and ruins the whole point of a language.

I don't mind other people using it, but I prefer to use the English language properly.

The only time you'll ever see me use it is as a joke poking fun at those n00bs that use it all the time. :P

I Hate it...it Disgraces the english language...And I can't tell what people are saying...(it confuses me like a foreign language...)
