I like Water-Types. They're not my favourite, mind. There's just so much variety to choose from, whether your trying to make a team for competitive battling, thinking of a Pokémon to use in your squad or you want to play with one in the trading card game. Their designs are also amazing (nearly as good as Shiharu's artwork). Some of my favourite Pokémon are also part of the Water clan, such as the magnificent Kingdra and the subtle Milotic.
When it comes to the type we're talking about, there's more pros than cons.

I love Water-types, and all of their characteristics. I like how there are so many to choose from, how they're powerful in battles, and how they're shown as graceful and elegant. They're not my favorites, but they're up there in my list.

No, not so much. The only water Pokemon I liked is Lapras. Most types that I liked are fire types.

Water Types are the best and indeed are sooo diversified.
Only in the category of water pokemon can you go from a Fierce Gyradoes to a beautiful Milotic! I love water pokemon so much because in many cases they mix both beauty and power togethor ^_^

Hmmm... Sadly, although I consider water my element in general, I don't care for it that much in Pokemon. Well, sans perhaps Kingdra, hehe...

water types are ok...
They come in 4th place after fire, dark and ghost though, but that's my opinion.
My favourite water types are lanturn, kingdra, mantine and empoleon.
I don't actually think their that great though, I suppose it might have have something to do with the fact I can't swim...

I am upset there are so many water-types when there are so little fire-types and ghost-types.

My faves are Starmie, Staryu, Kingdra, Miltoic, Vaporeon and Surskit (purely cos its evolves into the best ever bug! [in my opinion])! :D
Considering I am devoted to water Pokémon, I do see your point. I always see Fire, Grass and Water as the three main types (probably due to the starters), yet water and grass have so many different Pokémon than Fire. They need to bring more fires in! So that I can complete my Fire team!
