Do you nickname your pokemon?

I normally name a pokemon like Starmie, Kasumi if a gymleader uses that pokemon on his or her team. I use the japanese names. I'm going to start my platinum version up soon and when I get a magikarp, I'm going to name him Warrel (the first name of Nevermore's lead singer). I use a lot of band names, members, and maybe characters from fighting games like guilty gear and street fighter.

No, I never nickname my pokemon, I don't see the point in it. I mean, I think most of their names rock already, so why change them?!

I close my eyes and type in three random letters. Then, I add a "Y" to the end. Sometimes, I have to add another letter so that it doesn't sound too weird. That's why my Torterra is named "Fonny" rather than "Fony".

For most of time that I played I didn't, but near the end (before I sold Diamond) I started nicknaming them. After I saw all those clever nicknames that other people had, I had to join in to. :D
