Ok, Since Pokemon Gold, i've been playing to a set storyline. I named my trainer there "Ace", when i got Silver i named my trainer Juan, and named my rival Ace.

So basically I'm asking when you buy Both titles of a Pokemon game do you set your rival name, as the main character from the other game? If you do what are some of your names.

    Mine are: Ace and Juan
    Girls: Tammy and Clara

No, but that sounds really interesting. Whenever I play a game, I always name my character "Tom" and my rival "Sam". In Diamond/Pearl though (I used a ROM for a bit) I named my "Friend" Mason. Mason is the name of my best friend. But I think that is very interesting that you do that.

yeah, in F/B/Y i was EDWARD and my RIVAL was VANN (my friend who play the same games in the same time as i was), later in GSC it's was the same, i only change my name from EDWARD to FATE. RSE don't have a way to name your rival XD. And in DPPt i was Edward (back to the origin) and my Rival was Lewis (in honor a Luis, a good friend that like pkmn too XD).
And yes when i have 2 versions of the game i play one like 'example' Edward and the other version i played like Lewis =)

It really just allows, you to choose your name easy.

    Easier name choosing?

I'll give you easier name choosing - I always name myself HENRY and my rival the default name.

In Mystery Dungeon, I just call myself the Pokemon.

I sometimes do that. Reminds me of that one dude who says that he is his own rival, and things just got personal.

I might do that for HG/SS.

Earl and Xarel are the names I use.

I personally don't, mostly because I'm content with one title, but I really like the idea. The closest I probably got to that point was Diamond and Platinum, where I play it like my Diamond character is like that one guy my Platinum character is trying to best :P

I'm always just known as Ryan, and I always make my rival a different name, so it's like I'm travelling through different regions and meeting new rivals lol.
