Everyone else is posting a poll, so I thought I would too.
I just want to use this poll to address the problem of these so-called "random" polls that have sprung up in a copycat fashion after a certain member began making them. First, I want to address that member's polls. I believe it was alright when he originally expressed concern with polls he saw as too pointless, but then I believe he made fools of you all. I was incredibly frustrated every time someone replied to those polls with the message to the tune of "AhahahahaZ!!!1rofl This is the best poll everz!" because when you do that, you fall into the trap set by the poll: the pollster is MOCKING YOU. Trying to make you look like a fool. That's right, he makes the poll because he wants to show stupidity in those who make and reply to such polls (and, to an extent, because he can get away with it.) You're so caught up in thinking that the poll is the most ingenious thing since the wheel that you don't realize that you're degrading yourself when you answer, and you're simply proving a point that the pollster is trying to make.
The point trynig to be proven, though, is flawed as it is. The epidemic of "random" polls is a lie created, exaggerated, and exploited by the pollster. Before this epidemic, the problem was minor and isolated. We can all agree that polls with no point are fun, but only as long as when you reply, you can back up and discuss your answer instead of simply posting your answer and going on to the next topic. That point is valid, but the pollster has taken it out of context. I noticed that a lot of you agreed with him in his complaint topic, but turned around and lauded him and gushed over the polls he made. He proved his point with his initial topic, but all of you who are replying to these new polls are facilitating the worsening of the "random" poll situation. The problem is ten times as bad now as it was beforehand, and the cause is solely attributable to the poster who claimed to have hated these polls so much. Incase none of you have noticed, the "random" polls posted by the pollster are purely sarcastic, and even above so, painting a cariacature of the problem meant to mock each and every person who takes part. I know most of you won't care (it's +1 to your postcount, after all, which is more than worth your dignity -_-; ) but I still think you'd all like to know.
And to the copycats who have followed the original pollster, you're only proving his point even more by making intentionally-random polls, spam, and polls that are far beyond the realm of good taste. You, especially, have fallen into the trap and have made a mockery of yourself, but in a way it's not your fault. He's given you all the false impression that it's ok to do it if he does it, and in the end you all lose, he doesn't get any punishment, and his ego gets a momentary boost from all the undue praise. It's getting OLD, QUICKLY, and I think that it makes PC seem less respectable. I say this not to sound like a killjoy, but for your benefit, to realize that you're being mocked by the pollster's overly-"random" polls and you don't even know it.
