I do! I've been checking it over the last week - at least 20 fellow Mystics put into three gyms right near us over the last few days. For a place that literally was Valor only (except us two) it's amaaaaazing! The best thing is too: I posted in our local Mystic group I made about a Tyranitar raid. We went along, three people from the group showed up (one with three kids - all playing with accounts), then three other people showed up that we hadn't met before, then this other Instinct guy (the sole instinct in our suburb) andddd then these other two people showed up a bit later.

So all up in our raid we had like, 11 people (but the total active people playing in this suburb ALONE is at minimum 30). I then made a raid group on Facebook just for all of us in our suburb and added everyone. Pokemon encourages socialising! It's SO cool though that we still have so many people playing. There's groups in other areas but they're not really... idk we don't like them as much because they don't trust us because our suburb isn't covered by the map :/

But then there's these other guys that pretty much dominate our favourite place ever, at the peninsula... who also actively play and are a million times more obsessed.

What about you guys? Do you still have an active community in your suburb or nearby? Or do you have like Facebook groups to coordinate? How's it going for all of you?

I PERSONALLY am suuuuper happy and love meeting new people and just to know that POKEMON of all things, is making people SO happy? I just love itttt. Finally feel like one of the cool kids lol

not really. i live in a smaller town. it seemed to spike once the last update came through (gyms changed, raids).
but it's started to die down again. higher level raids are next to impossible. level 4 tyranitar raid on a weekend only brought out 3 people. the most i've ever seen at one raid was 5 for a charizard.

and now gyms are pointless. i currently am in 4 gyms in our town, and am sitting at 2+ days on all of them so far. somebody on our team keeps feeding them berries, so i don't know when or if they will get knocked out. it kind of sucks that you have to get kicked out of gym to collect coins.

Mhm yeah it sucks :( We used to be the odd ones out in our suburb (Mystic) but then Valor died off a bit (only one guy left). If he quits we're pretty much stuffed for coins so I totally get you!

Maybe Gen 3 might bring more people for you? :) Orrr legendaries!

I live in a somewhat big city, and my disctrict has a lot of technology companies, so a lot of people still play. I have a Slack channel at work to sync with other employees about Raid battles :3 (I got my SO to play again too, omg!)

Some people came back, i see new active people between level 26 and 30. I talked to some of them, many came back after a long break. The hardcore players are still active. So there are good chances to get raids done.

The raids are awesome, you meet new people but you also keep running into the same people. I also like how you can collect badges for the different gyms, it really encourages you to explore.

Gyms eventually get defeated and switch owners, sometimes they stand for a week, but it is not bad, if you have some time you can visit gyms and will find ways to get some pokemon into gyms, some stay 9 hours and then get kicked out (full 50 gold, ideal), some stay for longer, up to a week, and some get bashed too often.

When i have time and go out to play i sometimes get up to 8 pokemon into gyms. The ones that get bashed out too fast are rather useless. I like the ones who last 9+ hours, into the next day, or longer. When i have no time to play, ideally i still have one with 50 gold return per day.

I've moved to a pretty large town recently and I can easily say the activity here is still very high. Raids often have 8+ people showing up for the higher levels and it's very rare to hold a gym overnight. You don't really see people walking around playing it any more which you definitely used to, but perhaps people have just gotten a tad more discreet!
