Do you think Ash will enter contests in the fifth Generation too?

    He entered in contests in both Generations with May and Dawn.
    Think hey'll enter in a few with the newbie girl? It'd make him a pro compared to her if soXD
     
    I don't think so! Thats not really anything to do with his dream to be honest... and the new 5th gen girl looks like the contest type so if shes in the new series then she might!
     
    Well no, its not related to his dream.
    But that hasn't stopped him from entering in the last few generations.
    I guess also it improves his skills with gym battles.
     
    I love seeing Contests in general, and I love the twist of Ash joining them.

    I know he won't take it as seriously as Gym battles, but the odd Contest for him doesn't seem like such a bad idea =D
     
    We don't even know if Contests are going to appear in V Generation. Personally I hope no. I want Ash to battle in GYMs.
     
    I think they will drop contests. The girl protagonist looks more suited for the Pokeathelon. What I'd like is for Ash to battle in gyms, and the new girl in the pokeathelon, but for Ash to compete in the Pokeathelon sometimes too.
     
    Whichever event takes place in the next generation, whether it be Pokémon Contests or the Pokéathlon, I think it's possible Ash may take part in at least one of them with the new female member. His goal is to be a Pokémon Master by challenging Gym Leaders and competing in the Pokémon League, but it doesn't halter him from taking part in other competitions either.

    Look at his Sinnoh travels, he ended up entering two contests (The Jubilife Contest and the Wallace Cup). He didn't win, but he sure learned some new techniques he managed to pull together in battle. These coming in great use when challenging Fantina. So, yeah, I think Ash just may at least enter one Contest or Pokéathlon event in the next region.
     
    Jessie says shes quitting contests, which i think means there won't be any more in the next gen.

    I think the new girl will enter the pokeathlon or some other regular competition. Ash will probably give it a go once or twice, but not be really focussed on it
     
    I don't think they will. And I really hope the new girl won't either
     
    I hope to GOD they never even speak of Contests ever again. Nintendo should tear the idea to shreds, have ravenous foxes and badgers eat them, burn their poo, the ash (can you get ash from poo?) should be put in a secret underground, highly unstable complex and blown to kingdom come. THEN erase everyone's memory of R/S/E's contest features.
