4th Gen Do you use moves like Calm Mind?

I don't use stat boosting attacks because you do more damage attacking twice then if you use a move like calm mind then attack.

that's true, it really only pays off after 2 or 3 but it is really worth it. That is why oyu can't just put them on any pokemon

For me, double battles are the best place to use these kind of moves. I don't favor Pokemon like Alakazam that can only sweep and the get taken down by a Take Down. If you have a decent defensive Pokemon with sweeping attacks teamed up with someone that could annoy the opponent/distract the opponent or boost your partners defenses, moves like this work great. But like it's been said, prediction is a huge part of it. If your up against someone you know is going to use something like Toxic on your Alakazam, take that opportunity to grab a Calm Mind. Unfortunately in most situations, for Pokemon like Zam the sun doesn't shine for too long on the wifi competitive network. But Special walls with decent attacks like Clefable or whatever would be a better choice for singles.

I generally have 2 Baton Passers on my team, and pass the stats over to my other Pokemon, so as to save Move Slots on the main Pokemon.
You'd be surprised at how much use a Maxed-Defense passed from Mr. Mime Blissey with Substitute is.

hey even though torterra is slow he still wins battles. But if you meant it to be a joke thats non offensive then i agree.

What I meant is that you called torterra a sweeper, which it clearly is not.
