Is your favorite Pokémon on your team, and will it always be?

For me, no; I may like Gliscor a lot, but Platinum scared it with Aqua Tail Tyranitar, and Ice Beam continues to be a problem. However, I use it in stall teams, and use it whenever I'm Tyranitar weak. It'll probably show up in a lot of my Wi-Fi teams, as its use in general always comes in handy for me, but it probably won't show up in many more places. :#

What about you? Do you always use your favorite Pokémon in your teams?

If you want to prevail in competitive play, chances are, at least, while you're getting used to it, you'll NEED to stand on your knees before the stereotypical Pokémon, and use one of them yourselves =/.

Unless you're really lucky to like some anatomical failures some OUs are (not saying so it doesn't bother anyone), you'll have to use some Pokemon you don't like for their personality/looks, but instead for competitive performance.

I tend to like Pokémon from the UU tier but you know, I'm already biased by the metagame itself tbh. I like to like Pokémon which are considered weak but can prevail with enough thought behind them =P.

True enough; I HATE Heatran, yet it's on all my Shoddy OU teams. However, I hate it hate it hate it. I've caught 77 of the motha, and I've yet to have one with a HP Ice with more than a paltry 46 power. (And that was 1 HEATRAN THAT HAD HP ICE; this isn't just "I had more than 1 HP Ice variant, but 46 was the highest power. ICE 46 WAS THE BEST. EWW. >=[)

I didn't much care for Garchomp when it was legal, but I still used it. It was possibly the only Dragon I really hated...and it's only ingame. I LOVE Cynthia's Garchomp. <3

No because my favourite Pokemon only lives near the Lake of Rage and along the coast of Kanto. :|

Certainly not....Because I make a ton of teams and can't fit my favorite pokemon on every one. Plus, a lot of my faves aren't the best for competitive battling =P

I always caught Gastly up to Diamond. Now I really don't see the need to, since the lack of Wi-Fi stops me from getting Gengar, one of my favorite Pokemon.

My favorite pokemon in charizard and it is always on one of my teams so yes i do put my favorite pokemon in my team

Yes, I use Tyranitar in just about every team I make, and he's the last to be considered replaced.

My new team has Gyarados as a key Pokemon; but I used to never use him. I'm happy to see my favorite Pokemon put to good use.

I try to incorporate my favorite Pokemon into my competitive teams as much as I can. That definitely doesn't guarantee the fact that at least one of my favorites is on every team. Once I have an inspiration or an idea for a new and effective team, I'll just go with it whether it has my favorite Pokemon or not. Besides, competitive battling isn't about favorites, but since I like my favorites so much I'd just go around creating a team revolving around them (unless they're those smaller Pokemon I call my favorites, I mean I can't possibly create a team full of Pichu in there).

    ;_;

Always. They're certainly not the most powerful out there and they can tend to lose against many of the teams that include legendaries. However, it is, in my opinion, more fun to play with your favorites and lose than it is to have a team of pokemon you can't stand for the sake of winning. Also, when you do manage to pull off a win it feels all the better.

I always use my favourites. I would rather have my arse handed to me with my favourites than win with pokemon I hate.
I don't care enough about battling to use pokemon I don't like.

My favorites are pretty pathetic at offence battling, so I don't use them on my teams. Though, I keep them on my team as long as I can until I find a certian place and time where I won't need them anymore.

Well, yes and no, because at first, no,
but then when one of my pokemon has been
sweeping up the field on wi-fi then I start too like it so yer.
