2nd Gen does anybody recall??

    The mew glitch? I did it a couple of months back.. got the Mew, and decided to start messin with my game... I got a level 7 Espion!! But how is this possible?? Espion was introduced in the second generation!! Or was it? Perhaps it didn't make the final cut and turned into Missino Or somethin.. I dunno.. anybody wanna help me??

    I am serious.. But i have no proof.. unfortunatly..

    however.. i could give you a step by step guide on how to encounter it
     
    Ok, please post that guide to get it, because I think that there must be another most rational explanation than that you found a X-file in your game.
     
    First of all you need to make sure you have a pokemon that knows fly, and you need to make sure you have NOT defeated the Youngster in route 25 with a level 17 Slowpoke or the Gambler on route 8 (I think he has a Poliwag, can't remember).

    Anyways, this is the Youngster I'm talking about:

    You must avoid battling both of them.


    Now for the quest to catch Mew!

    Go to route 8 and stand in front of the front door of the house shown in the Gambler picture. Now this is the hard part. Save the game. Now take one step down and quickly press start to open the menu before the Gambler has time to see you. This may take a few tries. Now fly to Cerulean city. The Gambler should see you fly off.

    When you get to Cerulean City, go past Nugget bridge to route 25 and find the Youngster in the picture above. Now fight the Youngster but MAKE SURE he has to walk at least one step to get to you. Don't go speaking to him yourself or standing right in front of him, he must move. Bear in mind you have to win the battle. Now fly to Lavender town.

    Now you're at Lavender town, head towards route 8. The menu should automatically pop up and when you exit the menu you should encounter a Mew, which is on level 7.

    But instead of battling the youngster, you fly to the Pokemon League.. (sometimes it freezes, sometimes it doesn't..) Now, whatever you do, don't save!! Go into Will's room.. you will notice your A button is not workin.. and you will have to fly (sometimes it doesn't work) to Cinnabar Island.. then you should surf to the island where Articuno is and battle him.. Glitchy pixels.. screen goes black and you r against

    It will look like Espion.. I didn't try to catch it... u can if you want...

    Will doesn't exist in the first generation.

    You can't fly from the league in the first gen, you can't escape from the league in any game, in fact.

    You can't use the start button when doing the glitch... So you can't surf. Or fly to Cinnabar, either.

    Did you do it by yourself? Because you should send your game to an exorcist or something.

    PS: It's spelt Espeon.

    I did actually.. nd i meant lorelei or whatever her name is.. and you can when you freeze the game when you fly away from the guy. so there!
     
    Yes, but, once you have flown away from the Gambler, the start button stops working. That's a fact. So you can't fly anymore, specially if you are inside a building, and even more specially the league.
     
    Maybe they were going to put some 2gen Pokemon there, but decided to wait until the next game if there was going to be any (after all, the Pokemon games were supposed to be released in 8 different colours from the start). When they make Pokemon they usually save some for the next gen or don't use them at all. 2gen Pokemon were seen already in 1998, one year before S/G. They had to be Pokemon that did not get any place in the first games.
    So, the programmers maybe forgot to delete the data of them, just like some people think they left the truck.
     
    Some people think the truck was included in some event, but they skipped the event and left the truck. But my friend got a Mew in that truck, so I'm going to try that too, but it may take some time and you need a lot of patience. Never heard of any one else who got a Mew there though, but no one ever explained how it really worked either.
     
    I'll try it anyway, just in case. Because many people try once to move the truck then says: it does not work.
    But if you try to move it in the wrong direction, you have to start over, soft reset your game. Try different ways, they're all random.
    There is and easier way to get Mew though, that is sure working. But my save file got corrupted afterwards by some strange reason. (I think I know why though, nothing to do with the glitch).

    I just use a glitch to get to the truck. After you have been on the boat you can talk to the man standing there and press right and B or A or something.
    I got a Lv.1 Pokemon that evolved into a Lv.100 once. That works :)

    well.. it wasnt completely an espeon.. and it is my favorite because of what happened that day..
