I usually don't mind, but they're some Pokemon where I'd really rather have a specific Gender. i.e. a Male Machamp, or a Female Gardevoir.
You're right, Link. I'd say having a Female Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir rather than having Male. And that goes vice versa for Camerupt!

I have a lot of female Pokemon.

I prefer when feminine Pokemon are female and masculine Pokemon are male.

I mean, how wrong do the following seem to you?

~a male Lopunny
~a male Gardevoir
~a male Roserade
~a male Skitty
~a female Machamp
~a female Muk

and probably more I can't think of right now.

For me it kind of depends what the pokemon looks like if looks girly like Skitty I obviously don't want a male one. If it looks like a male I don't want a female. But I mostly prefer Males I don't know why I just do. O_o

I agree with Raichuchika

I'm not Sexist or anything but I prefer Male Pokemon better. I've noticed when I compare a Male and Female's defensive attributes, Male's defensive stats are abit better then females. I've seen the ratios on the Pokedex in games, and the ones on Serbeii.net. Males have slighty stronger stats then females. But don't get me wrong, females can be powerhouses, like Nidoqueen for example. I only used females for breeding purposes.

Base/Max stats are the same regardless of gender. It's all down to the IVs/EVs.

Generally, I don't care what gender a Pokémon is. Some of the best Pokémon I've bred and use on my team are of both genders; my Gyarados is a beast ;)

The Pokémon I absolutely HAVE to have as a male is Pikachu. Not so much if I'm gonna evolve it into Raichu, but I just think that the heart-shaped tail looks stupid. But I don't complain about my Surf Pikachu ;)

I try to get females on as many pokemon as I can, but usually it depends on the pokemon. If I want Houndoom I'll get a male because it looks more masculine. If I want Absol, I'll get a female because it looks more femine.

Who cares? I only care if I'm interested in breeding the pokemon. As long as they win the battles I don't care.

I don't really care much. I just go with what I got, I'm not going to go searching for a Male or Female of something that I want, that would just waste time. D:

Y'know what's scarier? Male Milotics, Lopunnys, and Gardevoirs. Thank goodness Gamefreak made an alternate male evolution for Kirlia.

Y'know what would be scarier, a shiny male lopunny

If you want to see the horror, look in the spoiler.

Spoiler:

Its Japanese name has NOTHING to so with the male gender.

Like everything else screwy about the translation (Firefly Light --> Tail Glow, Ambush --> Sucker Punch, Sneak --> Switcheroo, Kodakku --> Psyduck, Beequeen -->Vespiquen), It's all Nintendo of America's fault.

What's Mr. Mime's name in Japanese and is their a story behind it? PM me if so, I'd like to hear it, and I probably won't check this thread again.
