[Legends: Arceus] does it matter which one I pick?

So last night I beat the 5th noble, and got to the part where

The sky gets a little funky and Kamado kicks you out of Jubilife. Adaman and Iridia offer their assistance, but I apparently have to choose which one helps me out.

Is there any real difference in choosing one over the other, or is it one of those "choices" that doesn't change anything?

I think there is some scene changes, but ultimately it doesn't really matter. Everything ends up being the same thing. It is hard to explain the change without spoiling anything.

I think, for the most part, it is just based on who you like the most.

Without spoiling much, let's say that the Pokémon adored by the clan leader you chose will be more friendly towards you, and the other will cause a bit more trouble. But don't worry, at the end it doesn't matter, neither Dialga nor Palkia are "missable".
