3rd Gen Doesn't want to forget Surf

    Hi, It's me. I'm Really confused about a thing with the move deleter and what not in Emerald. My Swamper was horrible so I made it my HM slave. So now that I want it in Diamond, I'm trying to make it forget Waterfall, Dive, Strength, and Surf. However, after the others, I tryed to delet surf (I had already gave it TM) but It said it didn't seem willing to forget Surf... am I hopless?
     
    I don't think that's his issue.

    So what you're saying is that you took your Swampert to the move deleter and had him delete Waterfall, Strength and Dive, but not Surf? Well, the answer could be simple. Teach your Swampert a TM so it at least has one move because a pokemon cannot be without a move. That may be the reason why it isn't willing to forget surf.

    yeah, it's just that simple. You have top have at least one move in move pool.
     
    but he said he already gave him a tm.

    I think the teaching another pokemon surf is a good idea.
     
    He doesn't care about Surf, he wants Swampert. He wants it to lose Surf.
     
    Yeah, I already gave roar (Rawr! >:3) It's confusing, and now i can't find my emerald... I'll try teaching another pokemon Surf once I find it.

    It's something to do with having at least one Pokemon knowing Surf in your game. Kinda weird... but apparently that's what happens.

    Just teach Surf to another Pokemon, something you don't need and then it should let you get rid of it on Swampert.

    maybe u can onlt delete a max of 3 hm per pokemon?

    You must have a minimum of 1 move on a Pokemon.

    IF: Surf is your only move, teach it the TM as a second move, THEN delete surf at the move deleter.

    IF: Surf ISN'T the only attack on that Pokemon, go to the move deleter.

    How many times do i have to say this? I ALREADY GAVE IT A TM MOVE, IN THIS CASE ROAR!!! and the entire RESON for this thread is that I took it to the move deleter, with surf and roar, wanted to delet surf, but it wouldn't forget it. Direct quote from game "It doesn't seem willing to forget surf right now..."
    Come on people!
    *P.s. sorry for the yellin'... it's just really anoying...
     
    Its because roar doesn't do damage. Make it relearn a basic attack move.
     
    I had the same problem teach another pokemon surf then it should be fine it was for me atleast
