Gah, I still have no clue how to work with layers in GIMP. That's one thing I'll have to tinker with!

The most (or probably only for beginners) important part is knowing what the roles for each layer is. After a few tutorials, it should be easy picking...in fact, I'm starting to feel the limitations of the GIMP compared to Photoshop xD;

I've never used Photoshop myself... but some people I know think it's easier. 12.
